Maddison was up very early she was already dressed in leggings, a sports b*a and running shoes. She put her long black hair in a high ponytail. She was doing some stretching when John got outside.

“Can we start”

“Sure you seem ready”

John started with a slow jog which Maddison follow without problem after 2 miles John increase his tempo. At first, she followed but starts to slow down the last mile. When they got back John tracked the time and the distance they run.

“We need to be faster, when you get your wolf you will be much faster than that”

“When will I get my wolf?”

“Normally the teenagers here get their wolves around 15 but you are half-human. In the past, we were thinking you wouldn’t get your wolf or wouldn’t turn at all but after what happened in Seattle we are not sure about it anymore “

“I felt strange that night I lost control the only thing I thought was killing these guys. A voice in my head was telling me to kill them”

“I think that was your wolf. She appears in an extreme situation where you was under high pressure. She helped you. The time will come when you can talk to her, now let’s train your defense”

Maddison was avoiding John's punches when Jonathan came outside. He was still dressed in his pajamas.

“Can I train with you?”

“Do you want to frighten your opponent with your Dino pajamas hahaha “

“ oh sorry I am going to change”

They started again while Jonathan was changing. When it was her turn to attack she got him on his shoulder. John was holding back and that’s not as she wanted. She saw the warriors on the training ground and with John's restraint, she wouldn’t be able to exploit her potential. Jonathan came outside in a pair of shorts and a T-shirt.

„Okey you two will combat. I will correct your moves and weak points“

The siblings got into positions. As soon as they started Maddison was on her back. She didn’t even blink and Jonathan tackled her down. She was still a little dizzy when she got up.

„ Jonathan you have to restrict your wolf speed a little bit and also you can’t use your full strength”

“No!! We train like you usually train, I have to learn. I need to get used to it. I am okey”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes I have to go against an alpha in a month, Jonathan is just 10 if I couldn’t handle him how could I win”

“Did you challenge the alpha?” Jonathan looked at her with big eyes.

“I thought it was just a joke”

“Nope, I challenged him” Jonathan gulped and rises his thumb.

“Good luck sis, it was a pleasure to meet you”

“Shut up let’s continue”

She got tackled another 2 times when she found Jonathan’s loophole. On her fourth round, she got him on his neck. Holding him on the ground cutting his airway. Jonathan tapped out. It was a great feeling although her whole body hurt.

“Nice move sis” he handed her a hand to pull her up.

“You have a great reaction time but that’s still too slow for wolf speed, I see you learn from your mistakes “

John said from the side.

“It’s your first day I think we could work with this base, Jonathan be on time tomorrow you need to fix your combat technique errors”

Maddison put an arm around Jonathan and both went into the house. With his 5,1 he was already tall for his age and Maddison felt bound to this little guy. John was watching this scene with a great feeling. It was worth the wait.

Maddison met Sarah at school they had their first lesson together.

“What happened to you?”

“What are you talking about?”

“I can see the bruises on your collarbone and there are some on your wrist”

“Oh maybe I should cover them, I had my first training “ she tried to pull up her shirt so the fabric could cover it.

“My parents were furious yesterday, Mason got talked off by my dad, he say there wouldn’t be a match between you guys and Mason has to apologize”

“Really? But I wouldn’t back up”

“Are you crazy that’s the best solution”

“If I back up now he will never give me the respect I deserve”

They went to the first lesson. Sarah tried to persuade her but she wouldn’t give in. After an hour she gave up. In the hallway, they were talking about the shopping center where Maddison wanted to go. She needs some new training suits while Sarah was planning to change some of Maddison's clothes to some more decent ones. Suddenly Maddison got grabbed by the collar.

“Who did this?!”

Mason's face was just inches from hers. Maddison could see his anger but didn’t know what she did.

“What are you talking about?! Take your hands off me”

She pushes his hands away. Both of them got goosebumps. The place where their skin touched was still tingling. She looked into his eyes these silver eyes were pulling her in. Both of them stand there staring at each other. Mason repeat.

“Who did this” Now his view shift to the bruises on her collarbone. Maddison pulled up her shirt again.

“That’s none of your business, why does it matter to you”

“Nobody hurt people from my pack”

“Oh please I don’t need your protection, I can take care of myself now move I have my next class in 5min”

She passed him and pulled Sarah with her. Mason's knuckles were white as he tries to control his wolf. After he saw her bruises his wolf went crazy.

“Mate got hurt and you didn’t protect her!!”

“Don’t start Max”

Max growled in his head.

“I will get to the bottom of it”

Max retreated into the dark. Mason looked at his hand. The place where she touched him gave him a warm feeling which spread through his body. Does she feel the same? He looked in the direction she left. He wouldn’t get training today.

After school, the girls drive to the shopping mall. Maddison was looking for the sports section when Sarah drags her to the dresses.

“Please girl choose some decent clothes”

She was handing her one dress after another.

“Sarah I am searching for some new training suits not this”

“If you leave this place just with training suits I will not talk to you again”

She keeps throwing stuff at her. 20 min later she was standing in the changing room with almost 10 dresses, 5 blouses, 6 jeans, 5 skirts, and 3 pair of hot pants. She won’t take the hot pants. That’s for sure. The fabric wasn’t even covering her butt. She put on a baby blue dress and exit the changing room. Sarah whistles loudly.

“Oh girl what was you hiding underneath, you are at least a C cup right, or maybe a D” she tried to measure them with her hands. Maddison hits her hands.

“What are you trying to do?”

“I think you will also need some new underwear “

With that, she disappeared.

“Oh lord please don’t let her get underwear”

She tried the other things and chooses two blouses and two pairs of jeans. She was very skeptical about the dresses. She put on another one. The dress was quite daring black with a side slide and just knee long. Waist tight and a heart-shaped neckline. She was looking at another person. Never would she buy something like that. She exits the changing room ready for a discussion with Sarah but when she lifts her view she freezes. Mason was leaning against the wall with crossed arms. When his eyes landed on her they got big. She saw him gulping. He stands up and took a step in her direction. She took a step back.

“Where is Sarah?” She was searching for her nervously. A guy was passing by. Mason pushed her back into the changing room covering her with his body.

“When are you planning to wear this” he cages her between his arms. His eyes caught her view. There was a hunger in them. The air became thick. She was trying to get out but he blocked her path.

“Why are you here?”

“We haven’t finished our conversation from the morning”

“Can’t you take some steps back?”

“Why? Am I making you nervous?”

He got closer. She could feel his breath on her cheek. His hands got into her hair and with one swift he pull off her hairband. Her long black hair falls like waves. His eyes changed color. The temperature in the room rises. Mason's eyes were stuck to her lips. Her lips were red like cherries although she wasn’t wearing any lipstick. Her upper lip was formed like the top of a heart and right now she was biting her lower lip. Which makes him quite nervous. His body got tense. He starts to imagine what he could have done to these lips. Maddison's cheeks start to blush. He was too close. She could smell his body scent. Sandalwood or musk with a hint of cinnamon. The scent was surrounding her making her mind foggy. Mason got closer targeting her lips. Suddenly someone rips open the curtains.

“Hey I found some sexy undies, you should try. Oh god sry!!!”

Sarah turned around covering her eyes. Maddison pushed Mason away. Mason step back and tried to clear his mind. She pushes both of the siblings out of the room. Sarah was looking at Mason with an open mouth.

“Close it or flys are going to enter”

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE AND WHAT DID YOU DO INSIDE THIS ROOM?”

“None of your business”

“Did you follow us here”

Mason clear his throat and avoid her look.

“Mason I am going to dad if you don’t answer”

“If you do that I am going to tell Justin you still sleep with your baby blanket”

“Ohh you wouldn’t!”

“Try it, we will see”

Maddison changed in record time took the pile of clothes and left the room. She avoided Mason and pulled Sarah with her. When she paid she didn’t even know what she bought. She just wanna leave the place. Back in the car, Sarah was bombarding her with questions.

“What did you guys do back there?! How long is this going on? Why didn’t you tell me”

“Nothing, nothing is going on he just appeared and pushed me into the changing room. Nothing happened”

“But I saw more than nothing” she wiggled her brows.

“Shut up let’s go, I want to go home”

Sarah was grinding the whole way. Every time she looked at her she was passing her the look.

Back home Maddison throws herself on the bed dropping the bags on the floor. Her mind flashed back to the moment Mason got close to her. She shakes her head.

“No that doesn’t happen”

She stood up and picked up the clothes from the bag. She just bought everything Sarah choose also the hot pants. Maddison hits her forehead she was in such a rush she didn’t even pick up the training suits. Accepting the facts she hangs the clothes into the closet and went down to have dinner.
