CHAPTER 10 Brocc shook dust out of his crown as he looked up at the broken wall. There was no way over. “Brocc, are you okay?” Celerity shouted from the other side of the wall. “I’m fine,” he said. The hamburger hound roared, and Kendall yelled. “I’ll try to find a way over,” Brocc said, looking around. He was on an empty street. Next to him loomed a dilapidated factory with a broken outside wall that exposed the inside of the building. At the other end of the street, two Fry Guards rounded a corner, talking. He darted into the factory, but not fast enough. The Fry Guards fired as he dove into the cool darkness of the crumbling building.
