Vance's POV
This house is unusually cold, somehow. Not the winter kind of cold, but the cold that comes when something odd happens and the only odd thing I've heard that has happened while I was away was the welcome party thrown got my step sister, Arianna.
The thought of her alone bites my chest in a bad way. I hate her.
My father pressured me to go for a particular business trip and I still don't know why he didn't want his beloved daughter to go for it. The trip wasn't a boring one but I felt it was unnecessary for me in particular to go for it, when my personal assistant could represent me but he seems he just wanted me there.
Such a weird man.
