Vincent's POV.
When I reached the hallway looking for Ariana, I saw Ariana with Sawyer and Serena. The glow of happiness charmed their faces as the council now accepted their mate bond, and no one could separate them. I was very happy for them. I also wanted them to be together. They looked like they were made for each other, and, as their king, I could feel their connection. But I was helpless because, as a council president, I had to follow the rules and act according to the law.
"Ari, you have saved me once again. If I had to leave Sawyer, I would have died. I cannot live without him," Serena said, holding Ariana's hand, and Serena's eyes showed appreciation and gratitude.
That warmed my insides seeing their bonding with each other. A human and a vampire friendship was rare to find.
