It was now Wednesday evening.
Abby had been staying at the packhouse during the night but went to the pub to help her mum after every work shift. Helen was not happy with Abby for not speaking with her father about the situation, but she was allowing Abby to sort this on her own terms; she had even brought Abby some clothes from her wardrobe that could last about a week.
This does mean that Abby has been partaking in our pack runs and is actually good at keeping pace with the warriors. She then ducks away to get ready for work whilst the rest of us shift into our wolves for another run.
There had been no further incidents involving Hunters. The security guards at Abby's work ended up tracking down the employee who let the Hunter inside the building and referred him to HR. Safe to say, he is finding employment elsewhere.
They are keeping an eye on Astrid. She has promised she is no threat to them but none of them were convinced due to her past behaviour. Jason has promised he will keep an extra eye on Abby and, with Abby's permission, has placed a small camera in view of Abby's desk which he, as well as myself, can view. We just had to promise we wouldn't stalk her all the time on it; it is only to be used when she is on her own.
Me and Helen have been getting along nicely as I spend the last two nights at the pub since Abby is there. Her dad is still being non-cooperative which hasn't helped calm my suspicions. Nicole has reported that he leaves the house for a few hours every night so far and returns before Helen gets back. This has been fed back to Jason who, on Saturday night, if he leaves again, will enter the house and see if he can find anything interesting whilst Nicole follows him to wherever he has been going during the night.
That leaves me with this moment right now. Since we had almost two hundred new members join us from former packs that Blood Moon had destroyed, we were having a mass induction ceremony. Thanks to their actions, our pack numbers has doubled. This caused a lot of fun logistically for Dan and Siobhan who have spent the last few days making sure they were all housed nearby, if they were not local, or could return to their former homes.
Now that they had all been rehoused, we can finally start the induction. We had decided, with the help of the Elders, to do group inductions based on their former packs. It made it so much easier than doing it individually - otherwise, we would be here forever.
There was just two people left who decided they were going to do their together, counting themselves as their own little group - Adelaide and Abby.
To reaffirm that they had formed their own little group, they wore similar outfits. Adelaide wore a black, one shoulder crop top with a long sleeve and matching long black skirt with a slit up the side; they were accented by silver around the hem. Meanwhile, Abby wore an off shoulder, long sleeved silver crop top with black trousers. The neck had a slightly plunging neckline, which I think she had done on purpose. She would catch me glancing at her and would lean forward slightly whilst giving me a wink. Little Minx.
I had kept things smart casual - wearing a black suit with a white shirt but I had opened the collar and the top buttons.
I was standing on the podium with Elders Azul and Marianna by my side as we had just finished inducting the second to last group. I was so glad this was nearly over. I wanted to sit in a quiet room with Abby and just be in our own little world.
"And last, but by no means least, I would like to welcome Abigail Stanton and Adelaide McGraw to the stage." And I extend my hand towards where they stood at the base of the stage.
"WOOOHHH! THEY'RE MY SISTERS! THEY'RE MY SISTERS!" Maeve hollers at the top of her lungs, causing everyone to chuckle and the two girls to eye roll as I helped them up onto the stage.
Elder Azul brings the ceremonial dagger towards us and hands it to me. I turn my gaze to Abby who looked a bit apprehensive about this part.
"Just a sharp scratch, then it is over." I reassure her. She gives me a firm nod and holds her right hand towards me. I gentle take a hold of the back of her hand , planting a delicate kiss on her palm before I gently replace my lips with the dagger. "I love you." I whisper before I quickly make the slit.
She hisses in response. "You have a funny way of showing it." She jokes before smiling at me. "Love you too."
She holds her hand over the chalice whilst I move to Adelaide. "Quick and easy." She smirks as I slit her palm.
Due to Maeve and Adelaide's magic abilities, they were able to enlarge the chalice to accommodate the bigger groups. Now that there was two of them, it was back to its original size, they just covered the whole top; thankfully they also found a way to prolong my blood that had been spilt into the chalice at the start of the ceremony so that I wouldn't have to keep slitting my palm.
"Do you, Abigail Stanton, and you, Adelaide McGraw, swear to respect our laws and the members of our pack as a member and honourary member respectively?"
Due to Adelaide being a part of the Denast Coven, we did the same as we did to Maeve and allowed her honourary membership. However, since Abby was not a part of any pack, Coven or clan, we could induct her as a full member.
They both turn to each other, a big smile forms on their face as they fix their gazes back on me. "We swear." They proclaim in unison.
"Then I, Colton Harris, Alpha of White Crescent, welcome you, Abigail Stanton, as a full member, and you, Adelaide McGraw, as an honourary member of White Crescent." A roar from the crowd goes up, I am sure some in celebration that we got through it all.
Turning to the crowd, I hold my hands aloft. "The ceremony is now complete. Please, enjoy the food and music and stay as long as you wish." They all bow their heads and disperse.
I hand the girls some tissues for their hands before pulling them towards me, one hand resting on each of their shoulders. "I wish your time here to be everything you want it to be and more."
Adelaide gives me a side hug before returning to Clarke, it didn't take long for them to disappear off into the distance. Abby pulls me in to a hug as we remain on the stage. "That went off without a hitch."
"That is because Adelaide made Willow stand right at the back and threatened to blast her with magic if she dared interrupt." Abby responds as we pull away so we were now staring into each other's eyes. "I can't wait to get this off of you." I whisper into her ear as my hands roam towards her a*se, making her giggle and squirm in response.
"Pardon the interruption." Trust the Elders to be c*ck blockers.
I pull Abby up and into my side as we turn to face the Elders.
"Firstly, congratulations Abby on becoming a member of White Crescent." Elder Azul bows his towards her which she returns the gesture in kind.
"But we do have a matter to bring to you." Elder Marianna speaks up. "The trial date has been set."
No details were needed to explain who's trial she was referring to. I could feel Abby tense in my embrace as the realisation dawned on her.
"When?" She manages to meek out.
"Saturday. Midday."
Her breathing starts to get heavy before Abby manages to speak again. "Are we going?"
The Elders soften their gaze at Abby, understanding the turmoil she was in. "You are welcome to come but we understand if it is too much for you."
"Alpha Colt, your attendance is expected as it is your pack that has been wronged therefore you need to represent it."
Me and Abby turn to look at each other. She runs a hand down my face as she slowly nods. "I'll come. I think I will need to know what happens with my own eyes."
"Then we shall see you Saturday in London." The Elders bid farewell as they go and mingle with the party.
I an too concerned about Abby though. I pick her up bridal style and carry her to our room; her arms are wrapped around me as she nuzzles her head into my neck.
"Abby?" I look down at her as we enter our room.
"Just hold me, Colt." And so that is how we spent the rest of the night. Abby curled up in my arms as we laid in bed before we both drifted to sleep.
