4 - Willow POV

1280 Words
This girl... This human... She was taking EVERYTHING from me! Colt disappears for a week after the battle where we lost our former ranked members, only to come back with this b*tch in his arms, claiming she was his mate. What about me? It doesn't make sense. I could feel something towards him, and my wolf, Nia, said we need to stay with him. If that is not the mate's bond then I am not sure what is. His must have been suppressed somehow? Whilst he was away, that human got her witch friends to cast a spell on him, make him see her as his mate. Yeah, that must be it. It's the only explanation. Now I was standing at a distance, crouched up by a rock, watching more of this horror show unfold in front of my very eyes. She was pregnant. Claiming the pup to be Colt's but I had my suspicions. After all, she was with Xavier on Friday night - could be his. How could she not notice that one of her friends was sleeping with our enemy? What a terrible liar. I watch as everyone eats the cake that the kitchen staff and witches hastily made whilst my Colt leads his "mate" inside. I don't even want to know what is going on behind those doors. I hate her... I hate her! She is the enemy and playing all of us for fools. I can feel it! How come no one else can? "I've got my eye on you, Abby. And I will take you out if you do anything to hurt my Colt - mark my words." "Now that is not a good start to our sessions now, is it?" I stumble backwards as a purple light flashes on the rock I was up against. The witch, Adelaide, was now sitting on top of it, using a fork to cut into her slice of cake before popping it into her mouth. "I told you, I don't need therapy." I huff at her, regaining the composure she had briefly taken from me. I hate witches. "I'm allowed to hate people." "Hate people, yes. Coming up with plots against people, no. Which is why I think otherwise." She gives me a side eye as she continues to tuck into her cake. "You need help." "What I need is for Colt to get away from that girl." "Abby." She corrects me. "Her name is Abby. And she is to be your future Luna plus is carrying the future heir to the pack." "If it is even Colt's" I grumble. My comment did not go unnoticed, however, as a blast of purple lightning cracks me in the chest, sending me a few feet across the ground. "I will not have you making any comments like that against her." Her eyes glowed with a dark purple hue as she held out her hands towards me; purple light surging across her fingers as she prepared for another blast. "Alright, alright." I did not want to take another hit - they hurt like hell. I slowly sit myself up and start picking at the grass in front of me, thinking of all of the reasons I wanted to be anywhere else but in this moment right now. "In case you weren't aware, for a light witch and my self-appointed therapist, you are brutal." I rub the area where she had struck me with her magic. "I'm pretty sure both aren't meant to hit people." "Yeah, emphasis on the meant - we do it if it feels necessary." She shrugs and magics her empty plate away along with her fork. "Besides, you are a wolf. You can take it." Moon Goddess, if you take requests then please magic me away from this moment. "You talking to your wolf?" Adelaide brings me back to my surroundings and away from my pray. "...no." "Have you spoken to your wolf since the Alpha ceremony?" I refused to answer that question and stared off across the fields. Truth be told - no. Ever since she submitted to Abby after our battle, we haven't spoken at all. I am not even able to shift into my wolf, not even if I try and force her to come forward, she refuses. I have given up entirely - even she has now turned against me and sided with Abby. Why though? "Your wolf submitted to Abby and accepts her. In time, you will accept her to." "Pah! Don't make me laugh!" I bark at her comment. I am apparently the only sane one left in this pack that had not submitted to whatever she had done to the others. "We will see." Adelaide stands up and dusts herself down before turning to me. "I am going to head back to the packhouse. In the meantime, I am going to set you a challenge which I want you to complete before our next therapy session." "We don't have one booked in..." I fold my arms and stare at her, not bothering to hide the bored expression that was on my face. "I'll find you, don't you worry about that." She smirks at me and mimicks my stance, folding her arms across her chest and raising her chin aloft so she was looking down at me. "I want you to try and control your negative thoughts about Abby." uuuuuuuhhhhhhhh..... "What if I don't want to?" "Then I can try out some of the old psych therapy tests they used to do for mental patient. First stop - electrocution." She smiled mockingly at me, allowing her magic to crackle all over her arms. "And, unlike those therapists, I don't need a machine to make the electrical current." "You are twisted, you know that, right?" How was she a light witch? She is literally threatening to torture me. "When it comes to protecting my family, I'm downright evil. So, best not to test me." And with that, she disappears in a flash of purple light. "What a b*tch." I huff and turn my attention back towards the revelry that continued outside the packhouse. I needed a plan. How do I get close to Abby without being detected? Then, how do I remove her from the equation? Can't trust anyone in the pack right now, all of them seem to excited that she is carrying the supposed future Alpha or Luna. No, if i wanted to get assistance, it would have to be someone outside of our pack. Taking that into consideration, it would then have to be someone with no allegiance to the pack. Light witches would be a no due to those sisters being mated into our pack. Could potentially search for the dark witches and see if they could assist. Vampires? Maybe an option. Other shifters? Harder as they tend to stay out of each others' business. The only shifters I know who mingle with wolves are the ones at the Beta's security firm. Which would also be the same for the vampires come to think of it. Any who weren't aligned with us, we would either have a neutral standing with or have declared enemies but there weren't too many of those officially declared by the pack, and most were not a threat anyway; not since Blood Moon were destroyed. Then there were the humans, more specifically hunters. They could assist but they would probably not stop at Abby. Hell, they may even kill me for evening approaching. I ran a hand delicately over the scar Abby gave me from our fight last week. She as to pay the price. Guess I will be making friends with some enemies then.
