“You can't tell anyone about this.” He said.
I paused for a moment trying to comprehend what he meant because I can't tell anyone about it.
“I don't understand,” I asked, giving him the benefit of the doubt to clear whatever misconception he must have planted in my mind.
“You sure as hell do understand me well enough.” He shot back.
“You are saying that you want me to keep this a secret away from your family?” I asked hoping it was not what I was thinking.
“Yes!” He responded.
“But why?” I asked curiously.
“Because it is my secret to keep and I decide who gets to know about it.” He replied.
“Oh, that means you definitely would not tell me about it if I had not found out right?” I asked.
“It was also not your business.” He said.
