BFF's Forever

I unlock my door after having made it to my apartment. I walk inside going into my kitchen to the fridge. My fridge is hooked up to a small electricity generator box. unfortunately the small generator box can't hook up to the rest of my apartment it doesn't have enough power for that and this was all I could afford to at least have a fridge. I look around inside the fridge for my butterscotch Schnapps having spotted it I grab it out stuffing it in my backpack. I double check to make sure i still have my phone and wallet wich I do so I put them inside my backpack as whell so dont lose them. I also still have my vape in my bag which I tend to use periodically throughout the day. I walk out of the kitchen to the living room opening my apartment door going into the hallway. I locked my door making sure it's secured. I then head next door to Maria's apartment.

I open her door which she left unlocked for me. I walk inside her apartment and say to her in an excited tone" Hey Dude it's me ya still home?" A few seconds later from her kitchen she replies " yeah i'm still home just making some pizza roles." She says in a chipper happy tone. " I brought my butterscotch Schnapps ! Want some?" She walks into her living room sitting down on her couch with a bowl of Pizza roles. " hell yeah girl here." She pick up her cup from her coffee table and reaches it out toward me. I take the Schnapps pouring some in her glass. She snatches it from me. Getting up and going to the kitchen to get me a cup. She come back into the living room sitting down on the couch again setting the cup on the coffee table next to where I normally sit on the couch.

I sit down next to her striking up a conversation almost immediately. " It's been a hell of a day so far but you already know that." I say to her laughing a bit at the end of my sentence.

" yeah girl that was some crazy s**t ."

I laugh a little bit then reply

" yeah but I dont know why he killed her still" She frowns a bit when replying to me

" yeah I agree he shouldn't have done that I mean he was supposed to love that woman and then he kills her because of something she couldn't control like having a mate."

I smile and then make a serious face and respond

" yeah thats pretty messed up. But I do hope that I never get a mate it's like they brain wash us or something."

She retort's " yeah I think they brainwash humans to do what ever they want us to do expessially with that stupid s********e of then have told."

I respond back too her with a question, invested in our conversation like she is as whell. " yeah how did that stupid story go again?"

She retorts back trying to act all serious. " Long ago Humans where once connected to the moon goddess. Humans lived in unity with each other and where apart of the supernatural board.

The First Human Yano fell in love with the goddess and killed his Mate only wanting the love of the moon Goddess instead. She then banished all of humanity to become weaker than other supernaturals. She shortened our lives where we only live up to 100 years tops although most Human's die sooner than that. It was told she would only give us one more chance to prove our worth to her.

No human since then was able too for they didn't know how to become connected once more."

Maria ends the story and giggles a bit smiling at me. " can you believe how stupid that story is, it's just a myth anyway." I replie to her laughing along with her for a moment almost in tears. " Can you believe they think that story is real!"

Maria laughs " I know right" she then takes a drink of the Schnapps. After seeing her take a drink I decided I should drink mine as whell. After we had downed a few cups of the Schnapps we continued talking.

I chuckle a bit feeling light headed the Alcohol taking an effect making me tipsy. Maria had drank one too many like she always does. I decided to switch to the earlier topic about mates once more. " So if we have mate's do you think they are gonna be at least hot? "

Maria replies with scoff " God I hope so I swear if mine is ugly we're trading." We bust out into a laughing fit until either of us can barely breathe still laughing i try to catch my breathe only to end up laughing again. Finally after what felt like forever I managed to catch my breath and to calm down a little. Maria giggled for a little while after I had calmed down. I start laughing again because she was laughing. I retort to her playfully annoyed

" Dude stop it your gonna make me start laughing more if you dont stop jeez." I say with a giggle at the end if my sentence. I then push her and she dramatically falls off the couch. I can tell I didn't push her that hard to cause her to fall. So it was pretty ridiclous to watch. I laugh at her childish antics. I look at the clock on the wall realizing suddenly that it's getting pretty late.

She replies to me with a pout " awe can't you stay a little longer we where just starting to have fun."

I respond to her saying

" nah dude i gotta head back to my apartment I wanna chill at home anyway I know we are neighbors and all but I still like my alone time."

She huffs at me retorting " okay but you gotta come get coffee with me tommorow at Hyena Coffee Shop." I smile chuckling a little and retort to her " alright tommorow it is. Good night dude catch ya then."

She makes her way to her bedroom retorting to me " Alright good night chica see ya tommorow." I walked out of her apartment making sure to close her door. I walk to my apartment in the empty hallway and think to myself " man this place is creepy at night." I open my apartment door. Slipping inside i shut my door locking it. I walk to the couch and set my stuff down. I yawn a wave of tiredness hitting me like a truck.

I decided to sleep in my bedroom today instead of the couch since I don't have work for the next 3 days. I wonder to my bedroom slipping on some pajamas discarding my durty clothes in the laundry basket. I lay down onto my bed burying myself in the covers. I open my eyes to it being still dark outside. " I wonder what time I woke up?" I sit up glancing at my other clock on my nightstand 5:00am now being wide awake i decide to get ready for the day. I make my way into the bathroom turning on the shower. The warm stream of water beating down against the tub. I discard my pajamas lazily getting into the shower the water hitting my back, I moan with delight enjoying the feeling of the hot water on my skin. Grabbing my tea tree scented shampoo i lather it in my hair letting it sit for a momment. I scrub my scalp gently getting all the grime and dirt to come loose. I rinse my hair off and move on to washing the rest of me.

Finally content with my cleanliness I turn off the shower wringing out my hair to get most of the water out. I step out of my shower onto my floor matt I dry off my body leaving my hair to air dry as I do normally. Steam fills the bathroom making me not want to open the door because then it will be cold again. I reluctantly open the door the hot air leaving as I exit. I fast walk to my bedroom throwing on some fresh clothes. Blue jeans and my white soft fleece long sleeve shirt. I put on my fluffly soft white and black striped socks. I slip on my slippers. Making my way to the living room I set up my new stick candles lighting them so I can see through the house better. I walk over the the fire place the ashes in the bottem from the last time I had lit it. I pick up some of the wood i have stacked on the side of the wall on the right side of the fire place. I set some in the fire place lighting it after a few minutes of stuggling with it. The fire is now lit flickering in the fire place filling the room with a soft glow of light. The flames dance together as though they are alive. I sit on the carpet cross crossing my legs.

I look down at the floor for only a moment. The carpet is a light blue color and is thicker carpet than what is in some of the other apartments. The last person who lived here must have been paid more to be able to afford such a lavish carpet. At least it keeps my feet warm at times when the house isn't too cold. I look away from the carpet back into the flames. I smile tearfully reminiscing in old memories.

Flash back :

" mama, mama look what I found!" I cry gleafully to her mama's seated on the back porch a sturdy built log cabin behind her. Mama's warm smile reaches me her eyes twinkling with love.

" be careful sweetie, dont go too close to the forest stay where I can see you okay." She warns me softly. At the time I wasn't sure why she wanted me to stay away from the forest if only I had known. " okay mama." I say to her distracted by the flower in found.

I twirl the flower in my fingers completely unaware of my surroundings as I mindlessly walk too close to the edge of the forest.

A growl rips through the air. My breath leaves my lungs as a wolf viciously leaps onto me it's claws digging into my arm. I scream in terror and pain writhing around to get free. Mama grabs her shot gun from beside her shooting it in the hip as to not aim to close to me. The wolf let out an angry startled whimper its attention turns to her instead it's ears lay flat against its head. It steadily lifts itself off me leaving claw marks and long deep scratches in my upper arms and legs. I cry in pain from the wounds screaming at mama. " mama watch out!" I whimper patheitcally, I was utterly helpless i should have listened to what she said, I wish I could have saved her.

The wolf growls at mama walking toward her it's claws digging in the grounds as it menacingly growls at her she shoots it in the head multiple times. The wolf growls in slightly in pain as the bullets hit it's skin. The sound of the bullets hitting the ground bring horror to her eyes as she realized this wolf is not a normal wolf not even close. Mama desperately keeps shooting at it hoping to bring down the wolf and fast but it was all in vain. The skin of the wolf was too thick and pushing out the bullets due to super healing. Since they weren't made of silver the bullets had little to no effect other than pissing it off. The wolf leaps at her, She screams in agony when the wolf clamps down on her arm that was holding her weapon. It's teeth visible to me as it starts mangiling her arm tisting it to where I could see the ripped up muscle. The gun dropping to the ground with a thud.

I scream in terror " Mama!" Mama's screams are all I can hear before I know it The wolf lunges at her again digging it's razor sharp teeth into her, it didn't take much pressure. The sickening snap can be heard as the wolf clamps down on her throat it's teeth in her neck coated with crimson blood Mama chokes trying to breathe blood coming from her mouth her hands flying to the wolf in a horrible attempt to get it off her.

A gunshot can be heard going off from the distance. The bullet hitting the wolfs skin in it's rib cage, it whimpers in severe pain as a crackling sizzle can be heard due to the gun shot wound. The silver bullets hit the wolf multiple times in different places it yelps and whimpers as its skin sizzles and burns but still refuses to let go of Mama. As papa comes running to kill it having just arived home. Papa aims at the wolfs head being closer now.

Tears are in his eyes, he knows he's too late. The last shot goes off. It's so loud my ears start ringing due to the pain im in and the loud noises.

The wolf now lays motioneless on top of mama who is also not moving anymore. Papa moved the wolf tears still in his eyes and falling down his cheeks like tidal waves. He pulls her to him cradling her agaisnt his chest blood seeping onto his clothes he could smell the metallic scent.

His grip on her tight as his chest heaves out air in and out forcefully. He screams the sound so loud i'm sure from a mile away it could be heard.

It was a heart wreching gut turning sound that can only be described as though a part of his soul was dying. "Noooooooooooooooo! Not you too baby please not you!" His sobs escaping him at a rapid rate he cradles her still rocking back and forth ever so slightly. I watch him crying still. He reluctantly lets go of mama rushing to me his old face filled with worry, concern, fear, and mental agony. He scoops me up in his arms bawling still and i cry with him broken from what I had just witnessed. I didn't need papa to tell me why she wasn't moving i already knew. He truns his attention to my wounds checking them. "No major aterys where punctured thank god." he said to me after he had inspected me. He pulls me close to him once more " "your gonna be okay sweet heart

Your gonna be okay i promise.

Its gonna be okay." He consoles me holding me to his chest his arms wrapped around me in a hug i can see the blood from mama still on him. His he frees one of his hands his phone in his hands as he. Tries to enter the lock screen password but hes shaking so bad he can barely type the numbers.

The sound of foot steps could be heard walking toward us papa's gun was still by the wolf he had dropped it after he killed the it.

A woman with fiery red hair and green eyes freckles littered her face she was behind papa he hadnt noticed her arrival i scream in fear knowing she was one of those things who killed mama. Papa puts lets go of me standing up he whipp's around in front of me to protect me. The woman bares her teeth in a snarl

" Mine!" She snarls at him a look of disgust and horror cross his face she lunges for his shoulder plunging her teeth into him. I scream in fear once more. He screeches in agony trying to rip her off of him but shes too strong. She releases her mouth from his shoulder blood dripping from her teeth. Papa crumples to the ground passing like dead weight having passed out from pain.

The woman looks at me her face looking angry as whell as a hint of pity and snarls saying " not my pup." She picks up papa walking toward the forest she stops and turns around giving me one last glance. I cry out to her to take me with her and papa she shakes her head ar me "No you are not my pup. I don't want you, just your father. " she walks into the forest there both still visible to me I shout and cry for papa but he doesn't respond.

She spared my life but taking my father with her when she left. I layed there cold and bleeding as I watched her walk into the forest with my father over her shoulder unconsious. She flees into the forest i haven't seen them since.

End of flash back.

Still sitting on the floor staring at the fire dance around in the fire place. I come back to reality, how long have a been sitting here. I get up to look at the clock on the coffee table 7:25am is reads. I then decide to head over to Maria's apartment to go to Hyena's coffee shop. I grab black boots putting them on. I grab my wallet, phone and my backpack walking out of my apartment locking the door behind me. I glance at the Murder's apartment it being closed off with yellow caution tape. I begin to wonder to myself " I wonder if the where wolf managed to get to him some how?" I walk away from the gloomy dark apartment to Maria's apartment. I walk inside shutting her door shaking off the intrusive flash back I had a couple minutes earlier.

I say loudly to her

" Hey you awake Maria." I snicker a bit having just woken her up. She replies from her bedroom. " Ugh.... I'm up now you ass." I laugh at her being unamused retorting to her displeasure. " You wanted to go and get coffee from Hyena's coffee shop right." She retorts bitter sweetly " Alright you butt I'm awake God!, give me a sec to get dressed." I chuckled to myself while waiting for her to get moving. After what felt like forever she emerged from her room dressed in a light pink fleece sweater with a picture of a kitten on it and her black leggings. Her shoes, already on she grabs her black and purple purse from the kitchen table walking into her living room. She huffs at me half in a joking manner and half serious. " you didn't have to wake me up so early chica." I reply teasing her." Oh but I just had too, you where sleeping peacefully and i was bored." She rolls her eyes at me and says to me " alright lets go." I smile at her chuckling as she lightly slaps my arm for laughing.

We talk among ourselves as we exit the apartment building going to the back of the apartment complexe and on the side walk that follows the street. She says to me cheerfully having woken up fully now and in a better mood.

" So I bought some new cute clothes I found from the store. One is a pink cocktail dress it's super cute." I reply to her in a semi interested way. " you'll have to show me what it looks like next time I come over. a

After we get coffee i'll probably head back home too take a nap." She nods to me in understanding replying to me." Yeah i'll probably take a nap too, seems how someone woke me up super early." I huff and reply to her." Yeah, yeah I know." I reply to her earlier statement

" It's cool you got some new clothes though, you up for helping me go shopping for some new clothes at some point?"

She replies to me happily " yeah sure we can get you some smexy clothes." She wiggles her eyebrows suggestingly. I blush the pink coating my cheeks slightly already feeling embarrassed when we are not even going to the store yet. She laughs at my embarrassment saying to me. " you are way too innocent." I frown at her as i pout jokingly and half serious replying to her "I am not innocent you jerk." She laughs again enjoying teasing me about my shyness.

We walk a bit of distance still chatting about clothes and shopping. The coffee shop comes into view. We stop in front of the shop for a moment as she knows I haven't smoked off of my vape yet. I take out my Elk bar vape and take puff from it. The taste of raspberry lemon flavor lingering in my mouth as I blow out the smoke. I sigh in relief having needed that due to my episide earlier. Her smile falters as she looks at me her analyzing stair getting to me as I try not to let it show on my face thats its bothersome. She raises and eyebrow at me I think bitterly to myself " Oh god here it comes." She swiftly says to me in concern

" Hey are you okay you made that sigh again." I smile at her trying to hide my emotions i reply

" yeah dude i'm fine." I then realize my mistake I said I was fine instead of i was okay. I think to myself irritated at my own emotions " Dammit now she knows for sure I'm upset." She sighs annoyed i'm trying to bottle my emotions again like I always do and she responds again.

" The f**k you are. C'mon tell me what's in that head of yours, you can talk to me you know. That's what friends are for."

I sigh the heaviness of what I remembered coming back too me I only had to say one word and she'd understand. I reply to her my voice sorrowful. " Mom..."

Her eyes widenend and a look of understanding crossed her face.

She tries to lift my mood trying to cheerfully say this. " Alright well lets go get some Frappichinos I know the mocha ones are your favorite." She says trying to distract me from my over whelming thoughts. I smile at her It's warming to my heart knowing she tries to help lift my mood by the simple things in the here and now.

I smile at her my mood lifting a little as I take another puff from my vape bar. I respond to her trying to push away my thoughts.

" nah I think I want the caramel one this time. What kind do you want ?" I ask her trying to also distract myself. She humm's in thought " hmm I think I want the vannila one its sounds really good right about now, " she smile again suddenly I can see she has an idea she always perks up when she has one. " Hey how about after we get coffee you come over and we can watch a Horror movie." She says her eyes twinkling with delight as she knows the perfect way to cheer me up. I know what you must be thinking after seeing my mother murdered in front of me, how the hell do I like horror movies.

Well its simple really the horror movies aren't realistic at all plus they are movies about a human murdering another human if you catch my drift. Anyways, horror movies are my favorite movies next to super hero movies. For some reason Horror movies don't set off my episodes but other things do i'll get to that later. Okay well I lied, Supernatural horror movies I can't handle at all it reminds me to much of what happened to me.

I reply to her " yeah that sounds great no supernatural horror movies though okay." She laughs a bit " yeah no, I wouldn't make you watch those ones you know that." I chuckle at her taking another puff from my vape. She looks at the coffee shop then looks back at me and says " we should head inside and get coffee." I smile and nod agreeing with her.

We walk inside the coffee shop I notice immediately that the person at the front counter is human. Maria and I sigh a breath of relief. Maria walk toward the counter infront of me and says to the front register employee " she would like the caramel frapichino and I would like a vanilla frapichino with whip cream on both please." The woman at the counter nods at us and says " Alright well that be for here or to go? " Maria looks at me and asks " Should we stay here and have coffee or go back to my place?" I reply to her softly avoiding eye contact with the employee. " To your place." She nods turning her attention back to the employee.

" To Go please" She replies to her. The employee nods still using her customer service voice as usual she replies with a question " Can I get a name for that please." Maria replies to her quickly " Maria steinfeild" She says with ease. The front register person walks away from the counter getting started on our order. Maria and I walk to a nearby table and sit down waiting on our order. We both awkwardly watch the employee in silence expecting it to be quick all though I know as well as anyone its not going to be fast.

Suddenly the woman calls out our order " Maria Steinfeild." Maria collects out order she walks toward the door and I follow her close behind our steps in sync with each other. As soon as we walk out the coffee shop door we stike a conversation i'm the first to say something. " huh... That was faster than usual their usually pretty slow about it." Maria replies to me commenting with a scoff " And the ratings 4 star's yet they always take forever, at least its good coffee." We both laugh as we make out way down the street. Finally we arrived at her place. I open the door for her since her hands are full. We walk inside setting the order on the coffee table. Maria goes to the movie section pulling out Betty v.s. Jaye verrow. It's my favorite

Horror movie it's not really fear inducing but it's fun to watch. We sip on our coffee as the movie starts. We watch the movie intently even though we already know how it ends. Half way through the movies the coffee already gone some how be both managed with out difficulty to fall asleep tougether on the couch.

We will always be best friends, best friends forever.
