I hadn't anticipated Tasha would be this well-prepared, but fortunately, I had my own precautions in place. And thanks to Gino stepping in right away, I wasn't fighting this battle alone. Having someone else support my story was better than standing solo, fending off the accusations.
The public's attention had already shifted to why the Bestonia statue was housed in the Joya Collection. The focus was no longer entirely on me, but it wasn't over yet. Bert had disappeared.
