LONE HUNT

Milley was still wondering what to do now that her partner was in school and she had promised they were going to work as a team.Six months were too much for her to just seat around and wait for Alex to come back.Mark came out of the bedroom all prepared to go to work, ever since they moved in together he had been having some troubles with time.Living with her was the thrill he had missed for a long time which made it bad for him to finally leave for work in the morning.He had even dropped the habit of going to the tavern after work .He would just take to go six pack and head back home.As he struggled to put on his sock, Mark said something about how making the sock together with the shoes so one didn't have to do both would be helpful to someone like him.Milley got an idea from the statement after she was done laughing and explaining how that wouldn't make sense.She had just began to see this other side of Mark and she loved it.

She thought having all the info about the guys they had planed to go after ones Alex was back would make their work easier and save them time.It was a good idea and she dived right into work.The first one was Joe.A notorious thag known for selling drugs among others.His biggest line of work involved lying to people from other countries that he would give them jobs just to come and force them to sell drugs for him.

He also had an underground club that was of a brothel than a club.Here he forced the illegal immigrants to sleep with men for him to earn money.He used blackmail to keep them there and he even had minors forced into this dirty business.The police had tried in more than one occasion to a rest him but they could never really tie him to any crime since he had some really influential people protecting him.

It would take someone like Milley to put him down as she did not have to show prove to anyone.She still was not okey with having bro wait for Alex, every moment this piece of crap lived was another moment an innocent girl was being used to make money being forced into prostitution.Milley knew she could never wright all the wrongs in the world but as much as she came across one she was always ready to take it off the plate.One less wrong was better than doing nothing was he believe.

She had to wait a little longer though.For now she had followed some info she had gathered and she knew more than enough about Joe.She knew where he lived, his security detail and where the club was located.This would come in handy later as she would need something to stop the police from investigating Joe's death in depth.

The second person of interest was Joe's brother Morris.Just like his brother, he worker in more than just Green Light.He also was involved in drugs and people trafficking.They would get people into the state illegally and his brother would take women and girls while he would take men and boys.He would then train them and use them to fight in his underground club and have people bet on them.Everything about Morris stinked and just like his elder brother , getting caught was never their problem.Milley again took note of where he resided as well as where his club was located.

Tiny was the next on the list.Unlike everyone else Tiny seemed to be a good guy.During the nights he worked as a bouncer in one of the cities most ranked club.He was huge and contrary to peoples expectation he had a friendly face and he was always smiling .Everybody liked him and he even was nicknamed tiny because whenever he mixed up with kids he sort of became one of them.However , in most cases the looks are always deceiving.Tiny was serial rapist.They reason why he liked being around people was because that is how he spotted and marked his victims.He would use his charming wits to delude girls.He would later r**e then kill them.

Milley also found out that the reason why he deed that was because he had a crazy past.His mother was a prostitute.She had given birth to him without plan and for that she despised him.She would leave him locked up in the house for days to later come back drunk and in most cases with a new man every time.

She never even introduced him as her son to her men, instead she would tell them he was her late sister son.He grew up with natural hate for her mother and women in general.Other kids in school made fun of him and as a result he secluded himself and suffered alone.He found comfort in horror movies and books.After all his life was a horror story in itself.

One day came home to find his mother asleep after "hard days work" .As usual she was drunk and when he asked her about food she went up howling bad words at him.She never forgot to mention he was a mistake , a disappointment and a failure every time she decided to curse him.She had with time made him loath himself with passion.This time she was too much.That with the fact that Tiny was now a teenager made him loose it and they had one hell of a fight.During their fighting mama bear came out of her bedroom and to Tiny's surprise she was naked.Feelings came from deep within Tiny's body that he never eve knew he had.The mixture of anger and teenage crap Tiny r***d and killed his mother.He felt good and that was the beginning of his crime life.Later on the big boss saved him from going to jail for his mothers murder and that is how he joined the Green Light.

This revelation had even Milley shocked to her very core, that however did not take Tiny off her to do list.After all people all around have hard stories to tell some even worse than Tiny's but they don't kill innocents for that.She again got his address and enough prove to show he was a criminal.

She only had two more criminals to add to her board for the day but first she decided to swing by the station to check whether Mark needed her help.

In the meantime her next target Brie was busy torturing a guy in tied up in her basement for loosing a diamond ring stolen from one of the very respected loyals from the neighboring Tehiti kingdom.Brie happened to be the only female assassin in the Green Light squad.She was known for her fast and squeaky clean jobs.If anyone wanted someone dead and no crime or criminal found, Brie was the right girl for the job.She knew how to stage a murder to look like suicide and in cases where that was not on the table she always had someone take the fall by planting force evidence.She ha sent a lot if innocent people to jail for murders. they never even had an idea were committed.

When she was not busy killing she would turn to jewelry and artifact theft.She had people to do all the dirty work for her which was one of the reasons the police had never apprehended her up to that moment.She would research intensively on jewels , art pieces and other valuable items and then send thieves for hire to go get them for her.She would layer arrange underground auction and sell them.The invitations were mostly sent and received through the dark web, which is how she related with the last g**g on Milleys hit list.

Bob was a famous hacker among the dark web crew.He was the go to man if anyone wanted illegal staff shared through the web.He also organized most of the underground auctions and meetings.He and a group of other hackers had come up with a way of passing hidden messages through the web that only the intended recipients would acces.

The five were on top of Milley's list for reasons she could not tell anyone not even Alex.At the station Milley found Mark organizing his work .His vacation was coming up in a few months and he had a lot of files to close by then he was trying to arrange them according to their time widow.It took him a while to notice her and when he finally deed his face rearranged into one huge smile.

While they were still there talking about the cases and Marks upcoming vacation and his plans about it, Becky came in with some gosip.Not that it was important but whenever she found out something she was not willing to keep to herself she always told Mark.It was a conversation about this guy only known as the Story teller she had overheard the lieutenant and his assistant talk about.Apparently this guy knew almost every person who could be termed a person of interest and the lieutenant was worried that whomever the guy was would ruin his reputation.

The lieutenant was about to open a case file for this guy and Becky was almost certain Mark would be given the case.Becky's number one interest was to get Mark to curious about what the lieutenant was hiding behind the curtains that he so much feared it would tarnish his reputation.She knew Marks restlessness would push him to try and in earth the skeletons that Johns was hiding and Becky would finally prove that the guy was not one of the good guys as she had speculated when she first saw him.

Milley was not interested in the gossip and so she offered to go get some takeout from the cafe opposite the situation.Becky was left behind to convince Mark .Honestly nobody understood why the two women got along so well given that they both were so attached to Mark and they seemed a conflict of interest.The both influenced Mark so much that they always swayed his intentions and having Mark change his mind, that was a real task however with this two Mark was a huge softie.The ought to be jealous of one another at some point right.But no, that was not the case, in fact, they had grown fond of each other and was on their way to becoming besties.

Becky eventually convinced Mark to investigate the lieutenant but she also had promised to help Mark close the files by assisting him need be and that was a small price to pay considering.

Milley walked across the street and into the cafe.She then walked right to the counter and made her order.She was instructed to seat down as she awaited her order and she didn't protest.She had been seated there for about three minutes when someone came and sat on the opposite side of the table , she could not see his face properly since he had a cow boy hat and a bandana over his face.He placed a note on the table and drugged it across with his fingers to Milley and as quietly as he walked in he left.

The note read."I know all about you Milley McKenna.I have a suggestion for you.meet me at your van tonight at 8:00pm.Don't be late and come alone".The initials S.T were written on the bottom of the note.Milley was shocked nobody knew her by her full names around here."Who the hell was that guy and how did he know who she was? was this black mail?," Milley kept asking herself .The only way to know for certain was to show up for the meeting.She was scared.Her order was done and she picked it and left without looking back outside she swept through the place in hope to see the guy but he was long gone.She went back to the police station but unfortunately her appetite had just gone.Mark and Becky were starving and they did not hesitate diving right into eating.
