In three more days, I will be free. I will be able to choose when I want to wake up, what I want to eat, or hell even choose what type of work I will do. But until then, I am a warden of the Blood Moon Pack. Mrs. Hilden tells me every morning that I am useless and a waste of her space and air.
I look out through the broken window to see that it is dark outside even though I know that Mrs. Hilden will be here any moment to start my day.
Suddenly the door slams open. “Get up Omega or you’re going to be late for work.” I have learned in the past that if I get up before her, I will be whipped and if she has to say my name more than once then I am whipped. I secretly think she wishes she would be able to whip me every morning.
I get up and pull the ragged blanket up to the top of the lumpy twin mattress I sleep on. It’s a crisp November morning. I watch as my breath puffs in the air in front of me as I pull on the only pair of jeans and a long sleeve black shirt I have. I quickly go through my morning routine of brushing my teeth and pulling my brunette hair into a ponytail before I rush downstairs to put on my shoes.
“Don’t forget that you need to attend the meeting today regarding Abigail’s birthday party. If you are late even by a minute, it will look bad for me.” Mrs. Hilden screeched before heading back to her chambers.
Just thinking about Abigail started to make my skin crawl. As I begin my long walk to my first job, I think about how much I despise Abigail. Abigail is the alpha’s daughter and the heir to the Blood Moon Pack. She is the definition of an evil b***h and is spoiled as can be. Alpha Thomas dotes on her and gives her everything she wants. The Luna is even worse when it comes to giving Abigail everything and believing she is perfect. Abigail can do no wrong in their eyes and because of this, I have decided that after her alpha ceremony I will be leaving the pack.
