Ryan’s POV
It’s been two days since I last saw the omega girl. I haven’t been able to dig up much detail about who she is. I’ve tried looking at the pack’s records, but Alpha Thomas or Abigail have interrupted me each time I try to look at their records. I understand why, I mean having a pack of my own, I would not want someone going through my pack files either. Without the information from her file, I am unable to discover anything about her.
I tried asking Abigail last night while we were in the hot tub what her issue is with the omega girl. Even with her buzzed from the wine I kept giving her, she wouldn’t tell me anything. She kept pushing the subject aside and asking me why I kept asking about another girl. I would brush it off by telling her if we were going to be together in the long run, I needed to keep her enemies close by in order to protect her. She ended up just scoffing and telling me that the Lana chick was weak, and she assured me that she was not a threat.
We ended the night with her drinking too much and trying to get into my pants. I normally would take her to bed, but she turned into a sloppy drunk and I just couldn’t deal with her anymore. I also couldn’t get Lana out of my head.
I decided I would try one last time to go into the pack members files to see who this Lana girl was. This would be my last chance since everyone was busy with preparing for Abigail’s birthday bash today. I was also told under strict orders to not go near Abigail today. For that, I kept my distance and went to the archives in the library. Normally an omega wolf would we watching the pack library and the archives room but instead everyone was either preparing for the party, setting up the party, or staying out of the way.
The archives room was empty when I got there, and I managed to find her file. It took me a while but luckily, I was able to find her name. Her file was in the second to last drawer when I discovered that her name was Lana Thompson. Before I opened the file, I recognized her last name. It must have been a coincidence since the beta’s last name was Thompson. I shortly discovered that it was not a coincidence. The beta was in fact her uncle. I didn’t understand why she would have been shunned by her family until I read the important information page within her file.
