PAUL’S HAD MANY OFFICES over the years, from the cramped desk shoved in the corner of a cube farm as Victor’s writing assistant to his current digs: an office all to himself in the suite his production company rents. The Fourth Estate offices are long gone, as are the Winsome, AZ ones. He’s not sure this latest move is his favorite. The elevator in this building doesn’t always work, the fluorescent lights are as bright and terrible as fluorescent lights always are, and the walls are a disconcerting shade of what Olivia, his partner in writing and all things business, declared as “eggnog gone bad.” But there’s phone lines and internet and a whiteboard, so Paul really has everything he needs to do the work of writing their next show.
