Valerie's pov I squinted as the warm rays of light filtered through the window blinds. I smiled, reaching out to Ares and only met a cold bed beside me. That's how it's meant to be. I really don't know the reason why Ares was acting all weird yesterday. But to be honest I loved that side of him. I could vividly remember the way he laughed when I accidentally spilled ice cream on his shirt or the way he giggled like a kindergartner as ice cream dribbled down his chin as he tried to imitate Looney tunes. I laughed as I sat up right and yawned as I pulled out my phone from under the pillow and groaned as I realised the time. After managing to pull myself out of bed, I pulled the straps of my nightie tight and moved to the bathroom to brush my teeth before going down for breakfast. I f
