It actually is hell

Everyone turned and we're directly facing an angry teacher.Oh great,now the teacher shows up,how convenient. She thought.There were a lot of weird things going on in this school. After listening to a rough description of what had happened."Both of you to the principal's office,now". Maeve looked Ruby over and over on her head.It was her first day on school and she had been sent to the principal's office

"Maeve,I didn't expect to see you so soon,I'd been meaning to call you at the end of the day". Miss Baker focused on her only and totally ignored Ruby who was making herself at home by filing her nails."Miss Marshals,is there anything I can do for you?". Ruby looked up and smiled,"she bullied me".

Maeve felt like that was the biggest joke she had heard in a while.From their appearances,it was clear who had bullied who.The principal sighed and turned to her,"Miss Sanders,you've been accused of bullying and I believe you know it is against the school rules....." Maeve did not listen to the rest of her words as she felt wronged,she did not even ask for her side of the story.Whatever happened to fair treatment among students.

She started to feel pity for Anna,the poor girl must have gone through this same thing.Ruby and Miss Baker are now at the top of my list.She flinched when she felt a hand push her head.She turned to Ruby and received a questioning look to which che returned with the same fervor."Apologize to Miss Marshals now,she is being nice enough".

Maeve sneered inwardly,they made it seem like Ruby was doing done sort of good deed."Almighty Ruby,I am sorry for bullying you and hurting you". Ruby was about to request another apology but the look she received from Maeve shut her up. Something about the girl made her feel suppressed.

She stood up with flare and left the office,Maeve stood up to and wanted to leave, to avoid saying something to Baker."Miss Sanders,here,sign this. You don't need to go through".

Maeve would have just signed because she wanted the woman out of her sight immediately but when she heard ' you don't need to go through ',she stopped and sat down to read it.

Shocked at the content of the document,she glared at the woman before her."No". She threw the document on the table and turned to storm out,"it wasn't a request Sanders.Walk out that door without signing,you're done here". Mace stood staring at the door for a while,clenching and unclenching her fist.

Now she understood why Anna never had never said anything about bullying. They had made her sign an NDA.

"You want me to sign an NDA to never disclose anything that happens here. Miss I just got bullied". The woman was unmoved and pushed the contract forward. Maeve had no choice but to sign it,but she swore she would get back at them.Just when she thought the rich could not go any lower,that proves her wrong.

She ran to the restroom to control herself. Staring at the mirror,she took a few deep breaths. Get a grip girl,you can do better than this. She kept repeating to herself. She decided to take Miss Baker out first. The woman had to go and it had to happen soon. She collected her thoughts and returned to class.

Quietly,she made her way to the back and sat down.

Sky stared at her back,he could tell what had transpired from Ruby's expression but she didn't seem bothered. Instead,she seemed calm and collected. At the end of the class,the teacher made her worst nightmare come true."Miss Sanders,I would like you to introduce yourself and apologize for the disrupting the class, it'll never happen again" Because I would disrupt the while school instead. She calmly sat down and buried her head in her book instead.

The bell finally rang,freeing her from this nightmare. She checked her timetable and realised they had English next. She got her things out of her locker and proceeded to the next class but she was puzzled when instead of her classmates,she met other people,the only familiar people were Laurie and Zoe who was smiling at her and waving excitedly."Finally,we meet in class. How's your day going?"

"How are we in the same class?" Zoe rolled her eyes,"We're having English,duhh" Maeve felt like bashing her head on the wall."I honestly cannot believe you got in 1A,you're brilliant".Seeing the puzzled look she received,she sighed and continued."You took an exam to apply for the scholarship remember? Your score not only determines if you get in,it determines the class you get in. Any class with an A is for the rich and most brilliant and so far,you and Laurie are the only ones in there". Maeve smiled as she remembered how she read madly because she wanted to get in and be with Anna.

"Okay,but why are we in the same class then?".Zoe looked around and she did too."Look around,what do you think everyone in this class have in common?"

Maeve looked around and she saw nothing,"look again". She looked again and finally saw it. They had all had plain ties,she had noticed it before but she thought it was weird. Hers and Laurie's ties were plain ,while the others had gold stripes but she remembered the boy behind her also had a plain tie too.

"The ties. But you said me and Laurie,there is also a boy with plain tie.He's quiet,almost invisible".Zoe smiled."You've met Sky,his case is special. Anyways, scholarship students like us are given plain ties and the rich kids are given the ties with gold stripes".

The teacher came in and they had to keep quiet but Maeve's thoughts were running wild.

So,not only were they segregated when it came to food,they also had the different classes and they were made to sign NDAs,she never expected any of these. If that was the case,that means none of the rich kids were living in their hostel. Questions began to from in her head and she needed answers.

Fiona was right when she called the school hell,it actually is hell.
