An Unusual Proposal

Jack waits in the waiting lounge. Everything about this place was so sharp. There were no communication among the workers. As if they were machines! Everybody knew what their work was, all Jack heard was heels clicking, keyboard typing and someone talking on the phone which made him nervous. He was thinking how to convince Mr. Anderson to give him some days to pay back the debt amount. They had an understanding when they used to do business together. "If Jacob were alive, we never had to see this day. It's all my fault," cried Jake. While he was thinking about a way out a lady smartly dressed called him. "Mr. Parker, Mr. Anderson is waiting for you, Please follow me," said she. "Oh yes!" said Jack hoping to have a favorable way out.

"Mr. Anderson, Mr. Parker is here for you", "Come Jack, please have a seat," said Mr. Anderson asking his secretary for 2 coffees.

"How is everything after Jacob, heard you are having a tough time," said Mr. Anderson. "Its not good as you may know, the business is running on losses and added to that Judy is also not well. I'm very worried Samuel. You know we have an understanding for so long and I came to you hoping if you could help," asked Jake. "Yes I can sense that, but how? You are under so many debts already. How can you expect me to help you in this situation! You already owe me a lot of money," said Samuel. "I know Samuel but if you could help me with some more money I can promise you I'll pay back the money in the next 3 months," Pleaded Jack. "I wish there is anything I could do to win your trust I would do it definitely," sighed Jack. "Anything?," asked Samuel with a glitter in his eyes. "Yes," said Jack. "Okay then, I remember your niece Anastasia stays with you, am I right? I want her to marry," said Samuel loud and clear. Jack couldn't believe what he was hearing. He never imagined that her Ana can become a part of any such bargain. "Are you crazy!! You want to marry Ana. How could you even think about this!!," exclaimed Jack angrily. "Mind your tone Jack, you know you are hanging in a very thin line and moreover, the proposal was not from me. It was from my young nephew Daniel. "Yes, you know all about my Dan, I want Anastasia to marry him. Now go on, think about it. If you agree I will take care of your debts and will invest on your business too," said Samuel. Now go home think about it and you have 2days to get back to me before I leave for Shanghai," said Samuel.
