I don't think i've ever been so excited for anything in my life, today was the day that Astrid would see if her mate was in the pack, if he was I planned on challenging him and claiming her as my own, if he wasn't then she was mine by agreement and i'd take her as my chosen mate whether she liked it or not. I'd loved Astrid for as long as I could remember, she was strong-willed, feisty and an incredible warrior in her own right. "Yes she will be, if her mate is in the pack, you will make the challenge, once you defeat him in battle you can mark her then and there" she said with a smirk. I started to think about it how it might play out, having her there witnessing me kill her fated mate infront of her eyes and while she is heart broken and in shock, I would stalk over to her, still covered in his blood. "Go get yourself sorted out, they will be here soon" she said, shaking her head as she walked away. With her words I took one last look at the two of them shooting my brother a look of pure disgust before turning and leaving. I needed to be alone, I couldnt challenge my brother for her, he was much bigger and much stronger than myself, i'd never win that battle. My fantasy was slowly slipping away.
