The rise of Luna Astrid

Chapter 6

Astrid POV

Relief washed over me when I heard those words come from his mouth, Freya was fighting me for control and I felt like I was absent from the whole moment. I returned his words and reached for his hand for support, hoping he'd reciprocate, he took my hand in his letting the tingling sensation take over my body. I was at home, "Oh he's dreamy" Freya mentioned, I giggled at her and relaxed into it, he'd asked me if I wanted to go inside and talk to our parents, again i'd not spoken, just nodded. I must look absolutely stupid, speak god dammit Astrid, speak i thought to myself. We entered the pack house, our parents following close behind us, I could hear my mother speaking excitedly to my father but couldn't make out the words she was saying. We entered the alpha's office where Tristan lead me to the couch and guided me to sit as he sat next to me.

Tristan snaked his arm around my waist holding me close, "i'm so glad I found you he whispered", his grip was tight as if he thought I would simply float away. "I mean, I didnt think that you would be my mate, but I am not disappointed in the slightest" he continued placing a peck on my check. I smiled at him, blushing slightly "I'm not going to lie, today turned form the worst day of my life to the best day in an instant, thats if you'll have me" I said to him softly. He looked down at me and placed a finger under my chin, lifting my head up towards his "I'm never letting you go" he says.

"Alright then, that didn't go as expected, but a result nevertheless" Alpha Christian said, dragging myself and Tristan out of our little trance. "A great result" he continued, "My boy has his fated mate and luna, this means that I can look into stepping down as Alpha soon and we can forget about Astrid being Samuel's chosen, unless he wants to challenge his brother" he said. A loud growl resonated from Tristan, It was a protective possessive growl, it turned me on, it drove Freya crazy, she wanted him, we both did. "Don't even speak his name in her presence, he will not look in her direction, let alone touch her in any way" Tristan said to Alpha Christian, he was however looking directly at his mother when he spoke his words. I read the room as Luna Sally shifted uncomfortably in her seat as Tristan spoke, it may seem as though she panders to Samuel giving him everything he wants regardless of the cost.

Alpha Christian cleared his throat before looking at the two of us "So I take it that you are both accepting of one another?" he asked, Tristan nodded to his father and spoke "Yes father, i've waited long enough for this moment, she's perfect in every way, fierce the way a Luna should be". Alpha Christian smiled at his son, Sally on the other hand gave him a spiteful look, "And how about you Astrid, are you accepting of the bond between yourself and my son" he asked me. "Yes, Alpha, I can't wait to get to know him". I responded with a shaky voice, Tristan rubbed circles on the back of my hand to calm me, it was evident to him this whole day was overwhelming to me.

My father spoke up "Christian I am overjoyed with the bond between our children, although not the children we expected today, but I am so excited that Astrid has found her fated. My mate and I value the bond more than life itself, as Astrid and Tristan have acknowledged the bond and intend the mate, we can put everything else to bed" he said firmly "I need your assurance that Samuel will respect the bond and stay away from my daughter". His face was firm and serious, he held nothing back in this moment, his need to protect me from Samuel was strong, he knew that Samuel wasn't the nicest of wolves. "Thats Alpha to you, dont forget who you speak with" Luna Sally chimed in. "Sally, that's enough!" Alpha Christian snapped at her, "over 40 years of friendship, he can forego the title, be humble in the fact that your crusade was unsuccessful and move on" he said to her. With his words, she got up and left, slamming the door behind her. "Anthony, you have my word my son will stay clear and respect the bond, he will face punishment if he doesn't" he assured my father, "Now, lets go get a drink to celebrate and leave these two to get to know each other" he said, gesturing my parents towards the door.

As they all left it's like I could finally stop holding my breath, I relaxed, stood up and moved across the room, I got a good look at him, a really really good look. As he stood there looking at me with intense curiosity I took in all of his features, his almost white blonde hair, icey light blue eyes, chiseled jaw, he was easily a full foot taller than myself and had a very muscular build. I had forgotten I was staring at him, Freya was prancing around in my mind, thinking all the dirty thoughts she could possibly think of and before I knew it my core was damp and wet. "Astrid, if you cant control yourself, I wont be able to control Thor, you smell amazing" and with that he closed the space between us, he leant down and lifted me up, wrapping my legs around his waist. He pressed his lips against mine, softly at first but it became more desperate the more he did, his tongue made its way through my lips and explored my mouth, i rubbed his tongue with my own and let out a low moan of approval. As much as I didnt want to, I needed to stop, I didn't want this to be my first time, I pulled away from him gently 'Tristan, I need to stop, I've never.... You know.... and" I tried to speak but I couldnt find the words without being very embarrassed. He stopped, sat back down and pulled me onto his lap. "Oh, I didn't even stop to consider that, we can take things slow, I love that you waited for me" he said.

His words made me smile, "How about we take some time to get to know one another, I know my mother will want us to mark one another at the Alpha and Luna ceremony, we could wait until then and make it special" he suggested. A huge smile appeared on my face, I honestly never pegged him for the romantic type but here he was. "You're perfect" I said to him "I will need to head home soon, I want ot talk to my parents and somehow handle Adeline". His face cringed as I mentioned her name "Ugh yes, I forgot about her for a minute there, please know she means nothing to me, and I have a feeling she will be a problem" he said to me, we had the same concerns about her. We spoke for a few hours before he put his number in my phone and I headed off home to face Adeline.
