Chapter 2

735 Words
Astrid POV The day had moved forward very uneventful. I had no further contact with Samuel for the remainder of that day, it honestly became exhausting continuously telling him no. I never truly understood why he was so fixated on me, he could have almost anyone he wanted, yet here he was, chasing me relentlessly. He's a handsome sort, very good-looking, he had intense blue eyes, sandy blonde hair, stood over 6 feet tall and a body to match. It wasn't his looks that really repulsed me, it was his attitude, insanely entitled, who didn't like being told no and his treatment of others was an absolute disgrace. The final bell rang and I made my way out the back of the school, I sent Steph a quick text and told her to catch up, I wasn't waiting today. My mind felt uneasy, my stomach churned, I just had this feeling that something was off, I needed to get home to see my mum and dad, or maybe I was just crazy. I made my way across the fields taking the shortcut towards home, I wasn't paying too much attention until i heard some twigs snap from behind me, I swung myself around, breath hitched in my throat, yet no one was there. I sighed a sigh of relief and turned around slamming into a solid structure, it was warm. I let out a little squeal before allowing myself to actually look at who i'd bumped into. Samuel. "What do you want Samuel, I need to get home", I huffed at him, slightly annoyed, what was he even doing this way? he didn't come this way home. "You Astrid, its always you", he said with a smirk, closing the already small gap between us. "I don't know why it's so hard for you to understand", i growled out "I don't want anyone other than my mate, if and when I find him". His smirk turned to a scowl, his eyes went from playful to angry in a split second. He pushed me against a tree and lean his body weigh against me, pushing back against him did nothing, I had stupidly put myself in a position where I was vulnerable, I'd gone against everything I'd ever been taught, but why would I have to be concerned, pack members are supposed to protect one another. Samuel's hands began to wander, tracing lines up my arm and across my chest, his fingers moved between my covered clevage and he grabbed my breasts roughly. "You will be mine Astrid, mates or not, I have told my father that I will only take the Beta position with you at my side, he will be speaking with your parents, you will be my chosen, one way or another" he said, continuing with his hands. I was taken back by his words, I took 5 seconds to control my breathing before bring my knee upwards towards his groin. The contact made him release me immediately, a small squeak coming from his lips. I wasn't that far from home, I turned on my heels and sprinted, I figured it wouldnt be long before he gave chase, however I knew these woods better than him and i figured, I would make it through quicker than he could. I could see the back of my house, it spurred me on, I ran as fast as i could and vaulted the back fence, at least here I was safe, even Samuel wouldn't dare try that at my own house, my father wouldn't let him live. I was huffing and puffing, sucking in the air, I was definitely fitter than this, but the adrenaline really takes it out of you. I pushed my way through the back door, dropped my things and went to make my way into the living room. "I think she's just gotten home" I heard my mother says, dread took over and I stood still waiting to hear anything else. "Look, it's just a though, think it over, talk with her, see how she feels about it, but it would be in your best interests to convince her", the voice said. I knew the voice. It was our Alpha's voice. "I must be going anyway, I'll see you tomorrow at training" he said before I heard the door open and close. He was talking to my father, they trained together every day.
