Becca felt so bored she decided to go out for a walk. With a maid named Harriet following close beside her, she strolled through the grounds. As they walked, a familiar voice called out, catching her attention. She turned and saw Michelle happily waving at her from a distance.
Smiling, Becca returned the wave, and before long, Michelle was right beside her. “You’ve been scarce lately, Luna,” Michelle teased, her face lit with a bright smile.
“I’m not really the outgoing type,” Becca replied with a small laugh, and both women chuckled together.
“I’m sorry Ray had to go along with the Alpha,” Becca added sincerely. “I just didn’t feel comfortable attending the gathering.”
