I thought the issue with Vernon had been forgotten for a moment. That call reminded me of the times I spent with him and how warm he was towards me. I turned around to look at Bruno, who wouldn't let it go so easily; after all, he was his father.
"I only told him what was necessary," I said, going straight to the point.
"What do you consider necessary?" He took a few steps towards me to see me better with his troubled gaze.
