The bandanna, operating as a mask, brushed against his cheek, though he couldn’t feel it. His cheek felt numb, his entire body felt numb. What was this feeling? He watched as Ryeon crippled to the ground, lifeless, his clothes stained red from the pool of blood on the ground. Then he watched him being dragged away, state the same. Ryeon had said that he’d been his best friend since kindergarten, but he could only recall spending time with him, really anything, from when high school first traumatised him. First day, sitting alone in the corner. The world around him was alien to him; he was estranged. He felt like he had just randomly started existing out of the blue.
