“We will give you some alone time. I need to talk with dad some more. If there is anything you need, just call for me.” I nodded as Seb closed the door behind him, leaving me and Mason alone in my old room. As soon as the door was locked, Mason stepped towards me. And the next second, I was safe in his arms, finally. I couldn’t help myself as I started to cry, it felt like I had been walking on eggshells since last night when I had to let him go with my brother after the ball, and now finally, I was able to be myself again. I finally felt safe, that I was right where I belonged.
His fingers brushed through my hair as he was whispering sweet and loving things in my ear, trying to comfort me and calm me down. Never letting me go or losing his grip on me.
