Chapter 4: What Do You Take Me For?

"It was... it was okay," Catherine muttered, clearly putting on a brave front.
"Just okay?" Ryan Long’s smile took on a hint of wickedness, and as he spoke, his warm breath brushed against her ear.
"Ah!" Catherine screamed, her body trembling as he suddenly took one of her ears into his mouth.
"You’re frustrating me," he said as he pulled away from her ear, swiftly covering her mouth with one hand.
Catherine blinked, her cheeks flushing an even deeper red from his words.
"Who told you to suck on someone's ear like that? It’s disgusting! You probably got your saliva all over the inside!" she protested.
For the first time, Ryan Long felt like he had been defeated—whether by her audacity or as a playful act of revenge, he wasn’t sure. But, in response, he bit her ear gently.
"Ouch! That hurt!" Catherine cried out in pain this time.
Ryan quickly pressed his hand down again.
"Isn’t it only the first time that hurts for women?" he teased, deliberately misinterpreting her reaction, but deep down, he liked her straightforwardness.
"I’m just..." She was about to admit it was her first time, but then hurriedly covered her mouth. "Your words are so crude!"
Maybe she shouldn’t have chosen a random man after all. Judging solely by appearances hadn’t been a good idea.
"Crude?" She was the first person ever to call him that. Ryan Long mused to himself. Tonight, she had certainly set a lot of precedents with him.
"I think... I regret this," she suddenly pushed him away and sat up on the bed. Then—
"Ah!" It was her third scream of the night.
At some point, her shirt had come undone, revealing a cute, pale blue bra adorned with tiny flowers.
"Why did you undo my buttons?"
"Do you not take off clothes when you do that?" Ryan also sat up quickly, reaching out to grab her.
"What does that have to do with whether or not I take off my clothes?" she retorted, trying to muster up some confidence.
"You're right! I forgot—sometimes you don't need to take them off to do that," he said with a smirk, deliberately misinterpreting her words again.
"You..." Catherine was left speechless.
It was true—you couldn’t judge a book by its cover. She must have been out of her mind to think she could just pick a random man who caught her eye and go along with him.
She yanked her hand free from his grasp and quickly buttoned up her shirt.
"No matter what, whether clothes are involved or not… I—I don’t want to do this!" She jumped off the bed and hurriedly backed away two or three steps.
Ryan Long watched her movements and couldn’t help but laugh.
"You don’t want to anymore? What about me?" He swung his long legs off the bed and moved toward her.
Catherine was so frightened that she kept backing up, her black-and-white eyes darting nervously until, unintentionally, she glanced at the bulge between his legs.
"I… um, how would I know what you’re supposed to do? Maybe..." Her throat tightened as she swallowed hard. "Maybe you can handle it yourself!" she blurted out, summoning all her courage.
"Handle it myself?" Ryan raised his eyebrows, disbelief written all over his face.
As he took another step forward, Catherine retreated even faster until she found herself backed against the door with nowhere left to go.
"I advise you to calm down. r**e is a felony now," she said, one hand frantically searching for the door handle behind her.
"r**e!?" His expression darkened as his eyes burned with anger.
What did she take him for? Ryan Long didn’t need to force a woman into anything.
Seeing the fury in his eyes, Catherine just wanted to escape. Her trembling hand finally found the door handle, and with a click, the door unlocked.
But clearly, she wasn’t fast enough.
With a swift movement, Ryan slammed the door shut with a loud *bang*.
He glared at her, and her terror only deepened.
"You... you need to stay calm, don’t get worked up. We can talk this out..." Her tongue was trembling, making her words come out jumbled.
His hands reached out and wrapped around her shoulders...
