Meeting a deadly Mafia Lord

Chapter 2 LILA'S POINT OF VIEW “Help,” my lips begged again; I looked at her as the bullet hit her in front of me; she was on the verge of death, and here I was, crying for help. I watched the Female Cleaner roll on the floor; the bullet hit her, and he took my bullets. It made my heart troubled knowing I would have been in the same situation; she let out a soft cry, letting me feel pity for myself. She clung onto me, her lips parting. “ You must avenge my death, I will always be there to save you,” she said as tears ran down her face. I continued crying; her face was blurry, but I accepted to avenge her death even if it would be the last thing I would do. My legs were giving in to death, my hair was almost in my eyes, my body was weak, and I struggled to breathe; I continued running down the stairs; my tears had made my face rough. I was off the stairs, but then the men had surrounded the building. I came out through a secret door; I didn't see Kai. I sneaked out of the company as far as my weak bones could take me. My heels were aching, but I thought death would be worse or more peaceful. I had to survive. I tilted my head to the left; I didn't see my car. Kai must have taken it; he owns most of my stuff. The road was a public road, so I had to cross over the private road with less traffic and cars. “Lila. Lila," Kai's men called rashly when I tried taking a little rest. With great alertness, I met their faces; the death of the cleaner hit me as though it was hunting me, and I saw her crying. I shook my head, and immediately, I saw them closer; the cleaner had disappeared. “Did I see a ghost?” I asked as I ran on my heels, my nose taking oxygen as fast as it could. I crossed the public road; I lost the men after me; I was on the private road, walking slowly to the hospital to get my legs some treatments; they were red and hurting, I was tiptoeing to the hospital. My phone rang. And Kai was the caller. I put my phone on silent, not letting it ring, and after some painful walks, my phone's screen lit up with a message on it. “You can't escape”. It had no caller ID, and immediately, a car sped 137 kilometers toward my direction; the driver smiled; he was Kai. Trying to hide from the car; it was very close; the car was closer, gravity was pulling me down to the floor; I let out a tear and mumbled. “ It's the end of everything,” my face made a puppy face at the driver, my legs trembling, my body shivering; it hit me, and it didn't stop. Darkness has won the battle, the pain the car gave me threw me over even in eternity. The pain the car gave me continued; I let out a small scream while the cleaner appeared again, wearing a smile.- Death looked peaceful, the end of the whole struggle. After a long sleep, I woke up in the hospital; the doctor in charge of my ward was alerted immediately; I saw the rush which he used to come in. “It's still a miracle; she has only a bruise on her body,” the doctor who was attending to me replied to Sophia, who was sitting next to me. “ She's awake on her wedding day; it's a double miracle,” Sophia said, wearing a smile; my eyes almost popped out of their sockets, my mouth open, my anger was rising, the disinfected hospital air heating my nostrils harshly, making my stomach churn and my head dizzy. “I have been here for two weeks?” I asked. The doctor looked at me, nodding to my questions. His eyes were cold, mine was colder, my eyebrows low, my body uncomfortable, the hospital air still strong. “She can't leave immediately; she has to stay some days; she has to be examined,” the doctor said in a whisper to Sophia while I stared at both of them blankly, trying to understand what made him make the statement. I was made to stand up, and I felt a sharp pain in my legs, making me fall on the floor; Sophia rushed to me and carried me to the bed. “ Leave me alone, don't act as if you care,” I squealed, trying to let loose from her grip. My body, having a sudden energy boost, landed a hard slap on her cheeks, and immediately she dropped me on the bed hard. I winced in pain as my face folded, She chuckled instead and walked to the doctor who wasn't paying attention to us at the moment. “ I know what's best for my sister; she will attend the wedding and come back immediately, I promise you, doctor,” she said as she brought out bundles of dollars. “The risks are on you," Sign in some documents before you leave with her; please follow me to my office,” the doctor said in a calm tone while Sophia followed him from behind. I gently placed my legs on the floor, enduring the pain quietly. I moved my feet forward happily. I was about to run away from the hospital because I could sense danger when I heard some sharp shouts and noises outside, followed by gunshots. “ Please, please, please don't hurt !” I heard the cry of a woman in the other ward; immediately after her incomplete plea, I heard a gunshot as she winced in pain, and her ward became quiet. My heart skipped, I felt my heart beat fast, my muscles trembling and twitching, and the pains in my legs eased off immediately after I was behind the door. My door swung open with great force, hitting my face. I winced in pain, enduring the pain, but the ward was too simple, I was easily found. “ Like, I said you won't escape,” I looked up; he was wearing a face mask , and he had a deeper voice. He spread some gas on my face, and immediately I had lost consciousness. I woke up in a dark room breathing heavily, as memories of earlier hit me. I looked outside; the moon was at its fullest; I stood up walking to the window to adjust the curtains, before I wondered how I got there. The door opened immediately; a lady came in; I saw her face as the bright moonlight hit them; I was expecting an explanation from her. My heart became calm and fluttered in happiness; about to ask some questions, I had a second thought to see if she would act funny or talk to me; my instincts failed, but not at her funny act. She was leaving the room after walking around in it, as though she was looking for some stuff. “ Ma'am, where am I?” I asked, hoping for an answer; she stopped walking, tilted her neck back, took a deep breath, and left. -Did I say anything wrong? Is this eternity? Am I dead? What's happening?- My thoughts ran wild, leaving me in utter confusion; the mirror fell on the floor, jolting my wondrous mind back to reality. I turned my head sharply in that direction, but I didn't see anything, only a shadow that passed through my bed, sending eerie feelings to me. I rushed to the window, removing the heavy and warm blanket from my body as strange objects fell on the floor; my heels felt comfortable on the plush carpet with a soft, thick texture, adjusting the soft and thick master-sized curtains to allow the moon to shine its lights in the room. With the room lit, my eyes lurked around; the room had a master-sized bed and sofa with granite finish, chairs all at the other end, cashmere upholstery, and drapes, a crystal chandelier; I knew I wasn't in Kai's house. -My heart began to trouble; I must have been kidnapped, I don't think so; why was I kept in such a beautiful and luxurious room?- I was barefooted, a muscular shadow cast on the walls, this time closer. I rushed to the door, but it wasn't locked. I opened it quietly, using my eyes to read the environs. It was quiet. I gently took my head out to see if someone was outside. No one was outside, it was peaceful and gigantic. I walked outside; I was walking in a hallway, and I had a sense of grandeur. The floor was made of polished marble with a subtle sheen that reflected the light from the crystal chandelier above. The walls were adorned with rich, velvety wallpaper in a deep, jewel-toned color, complimenting the intricate moldings and ornate details. I stood still, looking at the hallway lined with floor-to-ceiling mirrors, adding depth and a sense of infinity. I looked at myself in the mirror; I was wearing white hospital clothes; I felt low class in the beauty in front of me, and I couldn't stop admiring - the mirror. Plush, oversize rugs in a soft neutral hue cover the floor, leading to a sweeping staircase with ornate metalwork and plush carpeting.- Paradise on earth I must say. I took in a deep breath, filling the air filled with the subtle scent of fresh flowers, adding to the ambiance. Recessed lighting highlights the architectural details, while floor lamps with designer shades provide warm and soft lighting. The hallway was adorned with an eclectic mix of artwork, including original paintings, sculptures, and high-end collectibles. A stunning console table sitting against a wall adds a touch of elegance. I continued to walk through the hallway; I felt like I was in a five-star hotel; every detail, from the finish to the decor, screams luxury and sophistication. “She has to be dead,” I heard a whisper from behind, jolting me back to the sudden realization of staying in a five-star hotel without knowing how I was there. I hid close to the door by my side. I looked like some maids were around my door, trying to peep in. My mind became alert. I let my whole body weight lean on the door. “Maidens to your room, the light will go off in a minute,” a loud voice came ringing in the hallway. The two maidens rushed out of the door, walking fast to the stairs. It was in my direction, I knew I was going to be caught, my heart banged in my heart, my hands shaking holding the doorknob. The maids were two walks close to me when I opened the doorknob, rushing into the room. My legs staggered, and closed the door immediately, looking for a place to hide. I walked to the bathroom, as if the room was the maids' own. I walked into the bathroom, which was gigantic, trying to see the features. My eyes met a man, eyes colder than ice, back broad and crafted, he had a towel on his waist. He turned immediately to look at me. I saw his bare chest wearing a tattoo, his pack counting to eighteen in total, his hands muscular, I was drooling. “Who… are… you?!” I asked, stammering, my eyes looking lustfully at his shaft. I looked up to see his face, his eyes colder than ice crystals in a million ways, his jaw sharp, his nose pointing at me. “You came to my room to ask who I am?” He said as his jaw moved slowly, his voice harsh, deadly but seductive.
