Chapter 8

The attacker

POV. Jasmine

I turned around to see the attacker from before holding a half awake amelia by the throat with a knife against it. “Wow hold up. What is it you want? Who are you? Who are you looking for?-” punk you think imma let you take her. Please its not going to be that easy. Still i need to buy a few more minutes of time for angel. She’s sneaking up behind the attacker. I noticed her earlier. But now she isn’t alone like before there’s a new wolf near her. I didn’t see him with the pack earlier. He seem ready to give up angels position. Angel came out to me and stood in front of me ready to defend me if necessary. The other wolf had swapped spots with angel. He jumped out and sank his canines into the attackers shoulder. The attacker screamed out in pain. He dropped the knife and was trying to get the new wolf off of him. Angel took the opportunity to tackle him to the ground. The second wolf let go of his arm and went on top of him. I went to go pick up the knife and threw it to the tree and after hearing the thud of it hitting the bark of the trunk went to go pick up amelia. And carried her back to the shed. It took a while to get back since i was tired and she kept kicking me. The wolf and angel were not that far from behind me.the wolf kept trying to get amelia away from me. Angel was in tow dragging the attacker from the foot since he had passed out from the pain. I needed to help angel but i couldn’t drop amelia. I looked towards the male wolf and smiled. “Look here wolf i am trusting you to take care of my friend here. I need to help angel over there. Here stay still i’m going to put her on your back make sure you don’t drop her.” i told the wolf. I finally got to the shed and opened the door. I walked over to max and placed amelia next to him. I dragged the man into the shed with angels help. I dragged him over to jason and tied him up with some rope i had left in the shed the previous time i came. I was about to go back out to go find chris but i noticed that angel and the male wolf had followed me back. The male went into the shed and layed down next to amelia. He didn’t seem satisfied though he got back up laid down on his stomach and crawled under her head. Amelia somehow allowed it and hugged the wolf. It was happy at this it did the smallest howl possible out of joy. I smiled and looked at angel. She looked happy. I signaled to her for her to come with me. We walked out of the shed and locked the door. Angel walked ahead of me with her nose on the ground. I’m guessing she became a tracker. We walked away from the shed and went looking for chris. We walked for quite a while before eventually finding chris hanging upside down tied by his feet to a tree branch. He was trying to reach the rope. “Hey Chris. Do you need help getting down or you wanna get you down on your own.” I said gripping the knife he took away from me that had fallen out of his back pocket. He stopped struggling and stayed staring at me. He tried hanging his head in shame but failed. “Yes please. Help me.” he said with embarrassment. His face was turning red probably from the blood going to his head. Either that or he was blushing. I walked to the tree where the rope was tied to. I climbed up the branches and almost slipped. I arrived to the branch where the rope was keeping Chris in place. I grabbed the rope and started to make it lose allowing Chris to reach down to the floor and do a headstand. “Hey chris I’m about to cut the rope. Are you touching the ground yet i don’t want to carry you as well back to the shed.” i whisper-screamed at him. He tried to look up at me. Failed and said “yes. Get me down already.” I cut the rope and he fell backward onto his well back. I tried getting down from the tree but slipped yet again and ended up landing on my but. I got up dusted of my but and walked over to chris.

“Hey come on we have to get back to amelia and max.” I gave him my had but he didn’t take it he didn’t even move. “Great angel come here i need you to take care of him for a little. I’ll be back in a little. Imma go get water from the pond not far from here-” an evil smirk grew on my face.-. “- actually know what help imma throw him into the pond instead.” she stayed staring at me. “What don’t worry it’s just a little bit of payback for not being careful. And besides its not like i’ll let him drown.” she just shook her head and walked over to me. She grabbed his ankle and started dragging i grabbed his shoulders and head and helped carry/dragged him to the pond. We got to the pond and angel jumped in stood up then started drinking the water. I looked down at my shirt and saw it had been covered in the attackers blood and very little of mine. I walked over to the nearest bush covered in wild blueberries and took out a clean shirt i had hidden the previous day. I looked over to angel and she walked out of the water shaked the water off then went to chris and covered his eyes with her tail and looked away. I smiled and started to change my shirt. I finished. And turned back to see angel was no longer covering Chris eyes but was now pushing the black alpha wolf away from me. The alpha growled at her. She remained still for 2 seconds when she growled back and kept blocking the alpha’s path. I have to break this up before this becomes a fight for the ranks. I whistled at the alpha and they both turned towards me. Angel saw i was done changing and looked back at the alpha.
