Poppy I sat there at the cash register in my mom’s bookstore as Raz roamed around. Avery was standing at the front, scaring away any customers who were interested in coming in. My mom was at home resting, whereas Jess stayed to help her out. I sighed, standing up. “There’s no point in trying to run this place if you keep scaring everyone away.” I glared at Avery, who shrugged. “We were told to take care of ya while Damian is out on a mission.” Raz chimed in with his overly happy tone. Damian texted me last night explaining he had some work to do, then these two showed up on my doorstep. I haven’t heard from him since and I honestly was getting worried.
