Fucking hell! Who used my helmet and bashed it all to hell? Ugh! I turned, chucking it as far as I could, which was quite far. It smashed through a window, setting off the security alarm from the building it landed in. Oh s**t! I ducked and hopped on my bike, backing out and heading back to Poppy’s house. I halted at a traffic light, pulling my phone out to track her position. A cop car pulled up next to me.
“Sir, do you have a helmet?” The officer asked me as he rolled his window down. I flung my head back in frustration.
“No.” I flatly responded. He raised a brow at me. I sighed, turning my gaze towards him and locking my eyes with his.
“I do not need a helmet. You never saw me.” His expression dropped as his eyes went blank. He turned, rolling his window up and drove off. Good thing I’m persuasive. If I wasn’t, that wouldn’t have worked. I drove forward as I followed Poppy’s dot.
I spat and coughed as bugs flew into my face on the freeway. At one point, a rock flew at me, causing me to duck. I finally made it back to Sequim, parking my bike at my house. Damn, this is nasty! f*****g bug guts all up on my face. I dry heaved as I tried to wipe off the goo.
I can handle blood, guts, heck any type of bodily fluids, throw it at me! I’d gladly take that over bugs and their insides. I wiped my hands on my jeans as I gagged, pulling a wing out of my tooth. It’s a good thing I can’t throw up. I would have spewed all over the floor. I cussed as I walked down the sidewalk.
I halted just outside her property; her friend’s car was idle, and the windows were fogged up. I took a step forward, closing my eyes as her chaotic dreaming reached me. I couldn’t make out the images, but it seemed to be a jumble of tonight’s events. Her ex and a unicorn? I shrugged, walking up to the driver’s seat, opening the door.
My jaw immediately tightened as her smell and blood hit my nostrils. My eyes traced her body, leading to her knee. I dropped to my knees, my primal instincts overwhelming, causing me to lean forward and drag my tongue over the scraped part of her knee. I grabbed her calf tightly, hovering my mouth just over her knee as my canines protruded out. I snapped my head back, biting into my lip.
I stood up, sliding her out of the car. She groaned, rolling her head into my chest as her eyes slightly opened. Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep.... I found myself begging as she closed her eyes. Phew. Crisis averted.
I flung her over my shoulder as I went through her hand clutch that was still attached to her wrist, fishing the keys out and unlocking her door. I’m glad the effects from those bozos are still working. Otherwise she’d be wide awake, kicking me and screaming. A devious grin crept across my face at that thought. I would enjoy that.
I turned my head slightly as she was still flung over my shoulder. Her dress rode up, exposing her underwear and perfectly round ass. I sucked air through my teeth as I climbed the stairs. Can I cop a feel? My hand slowly inched upwards as I yanked it back down. I already sucked her knee; she doesn’t need to be groped... Yet.
I slid her off my shoulder onto her bed, laying her head on her pink pillows. I went and dragged Jess out of the back seat. I didn’t care about her as much, so she got tossed onto the couch roughly. This wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for her. I hissed at her as I flipped her off as I headed back upstairs to bandage her knee.
I put a heavy amount of antiseptic on her scrape, then carefully bandaged her up. I finished my wrap, gliding my fingers over her soft skin. Tracing her veins, I sat there, my mind sneaking into hers as dreams of her old life flashed through my vision. I cut the link, standing up and heading downstairs.
I noticed the box of poppies in the kitchen trash, causing me to fling my head back in frustration. Why doesn’t she take me seriously? I pulled them out. They were already wilting. I took a couple, turning on my heel and heading back upstairs. Maybe she’ll listen to me now?
I angrily grabbed that dumb sloth plushie, flipped it over in my hands and ripped the stitching on its back. I stuffed the poppies into it as I flipped it back over, placing it back on the bed. As I headed back down the stairs, I whipped my phone out, shooting her a text.
“Who the f**k are you!?” I froze as Jess groggily sat up. Maybe if I don’t move...
“I can still see you, asshole!” She struggled to get up off the couch. I strode to her, placing my hands on her shoulders as I locked my gaze with hers.
“Go to sleep. You saw nothing.” Her eyes snapped shut as she slumped forward. Damn it, I don’t like using this on people. I guided her back to the couch, making sure to flip her off one more time before I left and locked the house up.
I strode down the street, reaching in my pocket and pulling out a cigarette pack. I glanced up, seeing the sun starting to rise. I rolled my eyes as I lit my tobacco. Taking a long, much needed drag, I pulled my phone out as I leaned on the wall just outside my place.
“Couldn’t go through with recon, will try again tonight.”- D
I hit send, then scrolled through my feed to watch the random videos my algorithm chose for me. I scoffed as I shut my phone off. I could easily hack that and change it. Hmph, maybe I should. I dropped my cigarette, stomping it out as I turned and headed inside.
I made my way upstairs, flinging myself onto my bed as I stared at the ceiling. I ran my thumb across my lip as the sweet taste of Poppy’s blood lingered on the tip of my tongue. Damn it, I shouldn’t have done that... now I want more. I rolled off my bed, face planting onto the floor as I groaned.
I heaved myself up off the floor, heading back downstairs to my fridge. I opened it, sucking my teeth as I scanned the contents. Should I have type A? Type B? Type AB? Poppy was O positive...I slammed the fridge shut, flinging my head back as I sighed in frustration. Even if I did take those, it wouldn’t satisfy my thirst for her. Would even f*****g her help fill that void? I don’t even know at this point. In my 90 years of existence, I’ve never felt this way before about anyone. Why was she so alluring?
I halted in front of the big mirror in the hallways, turning to look at myself. I am handsome, I can have a pick of any girl, and I have throughout my years, so what’s different? What has me fangirling over this woman?! I’m just going to have to stalk her some more to find out.
I made my way down to my basement where my computer setup was. I pulled the chair out, sitting it in it and spinning around in a circle for a while before I stopped and started clacking away at the computer. Her text messages popped up on the right side, as mine popped up on the left. Her social media was opened in the middle. I scrolled through it for the millionth time since I’ve set eyes on her.
I practically jumped out of my skin when I got a video call notification from my coworker Raz. Ugh, I don’t want to deal with this self-absorbed asshole, but if I don’t answer, they’ll send someone down to check on me. I hit the green phone icon.
“DAMIAN! HIIIII!!!!!!” He was zoomed in on his eyeball. I rolled my eyes.
“Raz... RAZ!” I shouted as he fumbled with his camera, finally setting it up correctly. He overly excitedly waved at me as I folded my arms.
“What is up my guy!! I’m just calling to check on ya!”
“I’m fine... what do you want?”
“You are totes obviously are not fine; you didn’t do recon last night! That’s soooo not like you.” He leaned forward, adjusting his camera.
“I’ll get it done... tonight,” I mumbled as I heard him typing away on his computer.
“You know I can see your screen, right?” He chuckled as my eyes widened. f**k!
“Someone has a crush!” He giggled as I felt disgust bubble upwards. I quickly hung up the call, shutting down my computer as I stormed off.
