Seraphina
I couldn't sit still. An irritation was making my skin itch, trying to rip it apart.
It didn't help that Azriel kept pulling away whenever I tried to take things further.
It's not like I'm a horny b***h or something. It just felt better when I was in his arms.
But that night was much worse. It was the full moon, and Old Maren had promised to let the kids play a little longer since the night was bright.
That meant the men could drink a bit before bed, and most of them were looking forward to it, but Azriel had left even before dinner finished, giving me that fake, tight smile.
His hand kept trembling, and it only worsened the restlessness under my skin. My skin felt too sensitive, every brush of my cotton sleeve against my arm sparking an ache I didn't understand.
I'd wanted to reach out to him, to ask him to stay with me. To tell him that something was terribly wrong with my body, but I didn't. Instead, I'd placed a kiss on his cheek and watched him go.
I couldn't sleep that night. I kept tossing and turning, and when I couldn't bear it anymore, I slipped out of the village.
I didn't bother looking for him. I never found him anytime he went running. He simply vanished like smoke, swallowed by the forest.
I just needed air, and maybe a cold, freezing dip.
So I headed to my secret spot. A secret river I'd stumbled upon five days ago while picking fruits with the younger women. It was hidden between two mountains that leaned together and formed a canopy over the river. It was perfect. One would envision it as a swimming pool carved out of a cave.
Shockingly, when I got to the edge of the water, I saw him rise from it. Naked. Water streaming down his shoulders, his chest, the sharp V-lines of his hips. His head was thrown back, gasping for air, and the moonlight made him shine. If I didn't know him and just happened to have randomly stumbled upon him tonight, I would've knelt before him as a beautiful, terrible god dragged from the deep waters.
He took my breath away. Nothing like before. My body caught fire. If I was complaining about restlessness before, this was worse. Blood rushed to my head, and I could feel my heartbeat between my thighs. I couldn't look away. I didn't want to.
"Seraphina." His voice came out rough. "Go. You need to go. Now."
I heard him. But I didn't answer. I couldn't. Underneath that voice was a serious warning. I didn't care.
I found myself stripping for him. I just needed him. All of him.
I walked into the river.
I couldn't even tell if the water was cold. I just kept my eyes on him and continued walking.
His eyes were flashing gold. Not the dark brown ones I knew.
When I reached him, I slid my palm around his neck. His skin was burning, like fever-grade hot even though we were in cold water. I pulled him down until our foreheads touched. His breath was ragged, desperate. I could feel the tremor in his muscles. That excited me more. I was barely holding myself together.
"Seraphina," he whispered. This was a surrender.
I didn't answer him. I only pressed closer, my body flush against his, and felt the hard evidence of his need against my stomach. A sound tore from his throat. It sounded too animalistic to be human, but I was not in the right state of mind to worry about that.
Then his mouth took mine.
It wasn't a kiss. It was more than that. It was claiming. His lips were bruising, his tongue demanding entry, and I opened for him with a whimper that didn't sound like me—high and needy and desperate. Every nerve in my body ignited.
My body was more sensitive than I'd ever remembered. Yet, his touch soothed every ache in it.
He was rough, nothing like the man who had held back while kissing me a few days ago.
He slipped a finger into me and moaned against my mouth. "f**k, you're so wet."
I arched into him, my body screaming for more.
He inserted another finger. I pressed tighter against him. "Yes. Oh. Yes."
This was wrong. I should stop him. For goodness sake, we were step-siblings. Our parents would legit have a cardiac arrest if they found us out. It was one thing we had fun in Vegas. That was before we knew each other on personal grounds. Now. Now, we—
He added another finger, and I screamed, throwing my head back. "Oh, my God. Azriel."
His thrusts grew faster, more frantic, and my body responded in ways I'd never imagined.
"Yes. Azriel. Yes. Oh... my..." I came against him, my body going numb from my release.
He'd not even started, and I was already all over the place. I rested shoulder against him, trying to catch my breath, but before I knew it, I was hoisted up and pressed against the rock, my legs spread wide open in front of him.
"Azriel, wait. This is... Oh, my... Azriel." A scream tore through me as he latched his mouth onto my p***y, sucking and eating like he needed it to survive.
My legs wrapped tighter around his head, my hands holding his head in place as I moved my hips against his mouth. "Yes. Right there." I pressed my p***y hard against his mouth as I felt another wave of pleasure rush through me. "Oh my God, Azriel. I'm coming.... I'm... f**k it." My voice echoed through the walls of the rock, spreading over the ripples on the surface of the river.
I didn't care if anyone heard me
He didn't let go of my p***y until he'd lapped at every drop of my orgasm.
I was already panting and spent when he brought me down and bent me over. I couldn't even make out a word before I felt him plunge into me from behind.
I held onto a small rock in the water for support as he thrust into me again and again. I couldn't make any sense of the sounds that escaped my mouth, only that I kept begging him for more. For him to take every part of me. Claim me.
His hand held onto my waist as he drove into me. My cries and the sound of skin slapping against each other were the only things polluting this otherwise serene atmosphere.
Then he turned me back to face him and kissed me, biting gently on my lips again, my legs wrapped around his hips. He groaned into my mouth, the sound vibrating through my bones. The feel of his skin on mine was electric, too much and not enough, every touch sending me shivering to the edge.
"f**k, Seraphina. I can't..." he gasped against my jaw, his teeth grazing my shoulder. "Can't stop.... Seraphina, I can't..."
"Don't," I breathed, arching into him. "Don't stop. Please," I whimpered. I didn't know what I was begging for, only that whatever it was, I would die without it.
He growled my name, gripping me close as he threw his head back. The veins on his neck bulged out, his golden eyes blazing in the dark. His grip on my hips tightened, anchoring me to him as the world narrowed to the heat between us, the frantic rhythm, the edge rushing closer, closer—
"Mine," he roared. The word sounded like a vow, like he was branding me.
His teeth grazed the curve between my neck and shoulder, and I felt a sharp, sudden pain course through me.
I gasped, my body going rigid in his arms, and felt the warm spill of blood trailing down my shoulder as the world tilted.
The last thing I saw was the look of horror on his face before everything went black.
