I have to find her. I have to get to her. I need to protect her. It takes all of me to not go and run straight to the castle, but I knew if I just ran straight, I’d run into the vampires who were headed to the pack house. I did feel bad leaving the pack like that, but Nova was my mate. They would have to understand.
I was going around the castle to go in through the back. I also had to stay far away enough that my scent wouldn’t be close enough for any of the vampires to smell. Zeke was screaming that he wanted to just run forward. He really did give into instinct more than knowledge, so even though we were running while shifted, I had to take control and make sure he didn’t mess this up.
