As the evening progressed, I found myself getting more comfortable with the casual affection being shown within the room. People were happily talking, disregarding status, the lines didn't seem to matter here. Everyone seemed to have a strong mutual respect for each other, choosing to honor them or not based upon who they were as a person, not who they were born to be. It was pleasant and also made me wonder about the status of AAta's family in his own home.
