When I woke I was very stiff, stiff and cold. It took me some minutes to realize that I was unable to move, my hands tied together behind my back. I seemed to be in some cramped space, the sound of trickling water explaining the cool. Stones underneath my fingers let me know I was still somewhere on the palace grounds, smooth and well worn, they were likely part of the water storage system. I couldn't see, a piece of cloth binding my eyes and another in my mouth. The ground was cold and wet, the melt water from the snow pooling underneath me. My robe felt soaked through, a sure indication I had been down here for hours. I could see light when I wiggled onto my back rather than my side. There was an up, and it was open, I could get out if I could just get free. Wiggling around let me know
