Akira stood up from her place and slowly came to the stage and turned to see her family's expression which is beyond explanation. Akira went towards Mahith and greet him.
Mahith-Congratulations Akira. U make us proud as the employee of our company.
Akira-Thank you, it's our company so it needed to give my best.
Mahith smilingly went down and sat in his place but his expression is beyond anything else.
Before Akira going down host stopped by asking what is success secret?
Akira (smilingly)- you only said it’s a secret how can u expect that I will reveal it. Just joking it's not like that as already my boss said it's hard work pays your success that's it.
Host- So you are saying that you are following your boss.
Akira- Ya, he is my boss I should learn something from him now.
Host-Ok, so whom do you credit your success for?
Akira zoomed out when she thought about a person who is responsible for anything and what is now, she was lost in her memories. she did not know what to tell her life is full of secrets.
Nandu realized that the situation is going out of control, he gave a look to the host to stop asking questions.
The host said congratulations to Akira for achieving awards.
Akira went out of the venue and lost in her thoughts. she is not aware that she is walking in the middle of the road and a truck approaching from the other side. It was raining heavily; the truck driver was drunken he did not see Akira about to dash but the other person jumps between and pushes Akira.
“Ahh,” Akira screamed. The person turns around and saw her on the ground. Her head got hit by a rock and she is bleeding.
“Akira,” Nandu said and ran towards her. He lifted Akira in his hands placed her in the backseat, he started driving.
Nandu takes her to the hospital. And called the person. The person picks up the phone before he could speak Nandu said that Akki was in the hospital. The person didn’t move from the place as a pure shock was all he felt. He rushed over to one of his cars and quickly got in. He raced to the hospital.
He arrived and rushed into hospital. He went to ICU and saw Nandu there.
“Where is Akki?” He asked.
“She is in ICU and the doctor is treating her wounds,” Nandu said.
“Don’t worry sir she will be fine” he heard another person's voice.
“I can’t live without her”, He said hugging Nandu.
“Why can’t be she careful Nandu?”
“How many times should I says, can’t she understand?”
“See now where she is now?” Said the person.
“Bro, please control yourselves. There is no fault in sister-in-law. She said to me that she wants to walk alone for some time and she didn't realize the truck behind her” Said Nandu.
“Thanks' to this person he just came on the time and pushed Akki otherwise we don’t know what will happen?” Said Nandu.
Nandu turned and said “Thank you” to the other person.
Vicky moves towards the door and saw from the window. Her head had a bandage. Tears rolled down his cheek seeing her like this.
“Oh god! Please keep her safe. You know that I can’t live without her” said Vicky.
Vicky’s POV:
“Nandu” called his mother from behind. I turned around to see my family and Akki’s friend Sanya is there.
I know that my little brother called the family and said everything to them.
“Mom I love her, if anything happened to her I can’t live without her,” I said hugging my mom.
“Vicky! Please control yourself. You need to be strong for her, nothing will happen to her” mom said wiping my tears.
The doctor came out of the ICU.
“How is her condition?” Nandu asked.
“She is unconscious now. She will be conscious after some time.”
“Can I see her?” Vicky asked.
“Yes, but come fast,” she said and went away.
I walked towards her room and went inside. I knelt down in front of her and took her hand in mine.
“Please recover soon Akki. You know I can’t live without listening to your voice” I said placing my head on her head.
“I’m sorry for not protecting you, forgive Akki, please,” I said.
I lift my head and turned to go as I felt her hand tightening its grip on mine.
“Stupid why are crying?” I heard Akki’s voice.
I immediately turned my head and saw Akki. My eye met as she was staring at me with a small smile. I was dying to see that smile.
“Akki how are you feeling now?” I took her face to place a kiss on her forehead.
“Vicky …... I am fine, see you are crying as if I die” she said while holding my hand which cupped her.
“Stop talking nonsense. Hear I’m dying to see your condition and you are talking unnecessary things” I said in an angry voice.
“Please take care and I will be outside only called if needed,” I said and leave the room.
Nandu came to Vicky and ask" Is everything ok, why are you looking sad?” How is Akki?
Vicky smiled and said, “she is fine and taking rest”.
“Nandu can you do me a help?”.
“Please be with Akki and I'm going out I will be in one hour,” I said.
“Why are requesting bro? I will be here only; you can go and complete your work. I will call you once the Bhabhi open her eyes” Nandu said.
“Thank you, bro,” I said.
“Oh hello, when you started to say thank you?” Nandu said.
“Ok. I will not say, please take care of Akki and family” I said.
There Akki felt bad for saying like that and slowly slept because of the medicines' effect.
The policeman came said that the person was fully drunk and he just flew out of fear.
The police said, “That they will search him and arrested him within one week and went away”.
Vicky called “Someone and ask about the driver who did an accident to her wife”.
They said, “The driver will be Infront of him in 24 hours”.
In hospital
Akki opens her eyes after some time and sees that Vicky's mom and dad are taking a rest on the couch. Nandu came inside and saw Akki wakeup.
“How are feeling now?” said Nandu.
“I’m ok Nandu,” I said.
“Are you ok Akki? Is it necessary to go walk out alone at night and that to walking in the middle of the road” mom asked scolding?
“I know she was worried out of hell by seeing my condition but I did not understand what she is saying?” I know that I did not inform anyone when I am leaving the event and how come she says that I want to walk alone sometime.
I looked towards Nandu and he just blinks his eyes and I understand that he made up a story for me.
“Thank you” slowly I said my seeing him.
“It's ok,” Nandu said.
“I am fine, see I can walk and show you if it necessary,” I said excitedly.
“My daughter is very strong, right beta” papa said.
“Yes, papa and ma don’t worry. Please stop crying” I said to her.
Nandu was looking affectionately towards them. He sees Akki was somewhat disturbed and went outside to call Vicky that his wife wakeup.
Nandu came inside and asked his parents to go home and take a rest.
He will be here sometime up until Vicky comes. Hearing Vicky's name, Akki mood off and feels sad which is not unnoticed by Nandu.
“Get well soon,” both said and went away.
