Alison could not control the rate of her heartbeat when she saw Leonardo. Her excitement doubled at his sight.
Why was she feeling this way? She felt anxious all of a sudden and her legs refused to move.
He waved at you, go greet him. He is your client, she tried but she was glued to the floor. He looked so handsome in his blue shirt and dark jacket. He had this blissful smile on his face.
She felt embarrassed at her inability to move towards him. Waving back, she walked back to her make-do office in the site.
Drawing a chair she heaved and glanced discreetly at the place where Leonardo stood. It was deserted, well she could only blame herself for that.
For goodness sake he was her client, the best thing she could do even in a formal relationship was to go say hi to him. No, she chickened out.
This was the reason she hated to mix personal relationships with business.
A friend of a day and suddenly she can't move again.
She signed off some papers Paige left for her. Paige went on an errand with Johnson, Alison angrily stabbed at the paper. What is wrong with her?
Her emotions are just flying over the place, with a little slip she mistakenly strewed her paperwork on the floor.
Ugh! She groaned inwardly frustrated, kneeling on the floor to pick up the muddied paper, assessing the degree of damage done.
"Hey! Aly calm down, what got you angry?" Alison looked up at the person that owned that voice and almost jumped out of her skin.
"Oh my God, Leonardo you are still here," She half yelled, he gave her his ravishing smile mixed with a grin.
Slowly he adjusted his trouser for him to squat comfortably. He bent down to a squat and helped her to pick the papers that were still of good use.
Alison widened her eyes and her body was reeling over in surprise as he knelt to help her pick the papers. "Don't do that, you might dirty yourself up," She tried to dissuade him, but he outrightly ignored her and picked up all the papers. She lost her focus for a moment as she stared at him in a mild trance. His light chuckle brought her back to earth.
He stood up and handed her the papers, "You seem mesmerized by me today," he said a little cockily. She narrowed her eyes into slits in a playful manner gathering the file in its folder, she would sort it back at the suite.
"You like thinking nonsense, I thought you left earlier."
"I see so you are mad because you thought I left," he irked her more, as her mouth opened and closed like a fish trying to defend herself but at the end of it all. She ended up huffing like a little child.
"You know what?" She muttered her mouth still in a frown.
"What?" he said adding to her misery.
"Leave, yes... leave right now. You are of no use here, uh.. you are just a distraction."
"I never heard such a sexy remark from a lady before. Distraction, how am I distracting you, tell me what is distracting in me," He whispered leaning low he noticed how red she turned.
So much for missing him, now he was here. She wished he would stop making her flush like a tomato.
She bowed her head momentarily to gather her thoughts and ease up on the blushing, 'Come on Alison quit your giddiness," she chided.
Raising her head she saw him looking down at her, "Are you done blushing?" He teased further and she so tried to not smack him on the head. He looked more of everything.
More handsome, more breathtaking and more annoying.
"Come on," She said standing up from her chair, she ran her hand through her hair and smiled at him.
Her smile stirred something in him, stronger and fiercer, for some reason, her smile resembled a radiant ball of energy.
It was his turn to turn mute, he trudged along with her not asking any questions.
She saw his car not far ahead and held out hands to him.
Leonardo saw Alison's hand-stretched to him, he was sure he was dreaming or something., Why would Alison ever want to hold her hands in his?
Noticing his reluctance she smiled at him again.
Okay, give her that hand.
He held on to her rather too tightly, who knows she might change her decision.
Accept her niceness while it last, a part of him told him.
"Come," she said softly and he saw his car right in front of him.
What does she want with his car? Maybe she wanted to go somewhere with you, he smiled at that possibility.
His driver hastily trudged towards him, he noticed their intertwined hands and looked away awkwardly.
Leonardo noticed his driver had his eyes dinning on Alison with one hard look he diverted his gaze from her face to the floor.
" Please open the door for him," she asked the driver politely.
With the door open, " Sit," she said her eyes twinkling in mischief, "We would like to go the... erm Mall, Any malls here? Take us there."
Mall? what does she want to do in a mall?
The driver stood in confusion, noticing Alison sad expression Leonardo tightened his lip in a straight line.
"Didn't you hear what she said, take us to the mall?" His stern voice thundered, well enough to make the driver saunter to the car.
"Oh no!" Alison exclaimed in disappointment.
"What is the problem?"
Leonardo asked concerned.
"I won't be able to go with you guys, Ms Rebecca just sent a message that I am needed at the office now."
"No worries we would drop you there," Leonardo offered.
"No, no... I would do fine on my own and besides the traffic is a bit much, I would meet up with you later at the mall, for now just shop for the office papers we lost in the mud. I would meet you there."
She hoped her lie wasn't too obvious, If not time for some payback.
How can he tease her at work like that? She huffed hissing at herself as her cheeks reddened again.
She watched as Leonardo car zoomed off, a grin spreading on her lips.
Turning she bumped into Paige, her grin turned into a grimace, " Here you are... Why are you smiling? And who just drove away now."
"Oh, that is the owner of the restaurant, Leonardo Adriano." John butted in and walked past them.
"Hmmm ... I see a blush," Paige teased.
"What is wrong with you guys? come on let's go we have a lot of work to do," She said chiding Paige who smirks refused to wipe off her face no matter what.
Leonardo checked his watch again, two hours gone. He glanced down at the two packages of office papers he bought.
Gently he peeped outside the shelves he was hiding and saw a crowd of paparazzi sniffing off his presence.
He hated the press, snoopy individuals.
Once they interviewed you the next thing, you see is a twisted story that is filled with people unhealthy obsession with him and his brother's lives.
He felt slightly annoyed at Alison, he figured a long time ago that she tricked him. He did a simple thing.
He called Rebecca and found out the truth when he gets out of this mess. He would make sure she turns redder than blood.
It was late in the night, the paparazzi got tired and left, and the little ones remaining he managed to trick them with his disguise.
"Go back to the hotel," he ordered his driver, a devious plan brewed in his mind.
"Alison let me sleep," Paige muttered drowsily.
"Fine, I would go to the steaming pool alone, just so you know you are missing a lot."
"Hmm, you won't find anyone there, I went there yesterday and it was deserted the pool wasn't even that steaming, you would come back disappointed" Paige mumbled to Alison drowsily.
Stepping out of her room, she went up to the upper floor, well Paige went to the one on the lower floor and that one was a bit faulty and not for suite residents like them. She took her time and read the hotel's handbook.
Wearing a little denim short and a free-flowing white shirt, she trudged into the elevator and pressed a number.
The elevator stopped and she bumped hard into someone, he stopped her from falling. she apologized to the nice blue-eyed man and opened the door outside the floor she stood.
A huge breeze blew towards her making her hair all scattered and messy.
She marvelled at the sight of the balcony of the upper floor. When she said exquisite, she meant it looked exquisite.
A few aged couples sat on the chair with no one inside the pool.
She trepidated whether she should dip into the pool or not.
The aged couple left a few minutes later, leaving only her there. Well, that is a good thing, privacy.
Dipping her feet into the water she sighed in relief as her ankle muscle knot was relieved.
Suddenly she heard a shuffle and averted her gaze to the source of the sound. Footsteps became evident, she wondered who it was?
Removing her legs from the pool, she sat on the tile waiting for the expectant owner of the footsteps.
It stopped but she didn't see anyone.
Hmph! that is weird. She stood up checking for anyone, but she saw no one. Moving backwards she bumped into someone who slowly turned her around.
"Leonardo!" she exclaimed a bit shocked at his presence.
What is he doing here? His hand was warm on her skin, heating her she felt goosebumps starting to rise at his touch.
."Erm... didn't expect you here," she muttered averting her gaze from his face.
"Alison," he muttered smiling.
She raised her eyebrows at him.
He stretched his hands to her, "Thank Goodness I carried this around." He sighed, his hand dug into his pockets and brought out the office papers he bought.
She stared at it with a scrunch on her face.
How bad was her memory?
"What is that?" She asked.
He trudged further into the poolside sitting on one of the benches. Laughing mildly, " You know a woman asked me to buy her this at the mall."
"Hmm that story sounds not so familiar," Alison muttered her eyes glowing in mischief.
Unrepentant, Leonardo muttered momentarily disliking her guts, he would show her.
"Yea, yeah... that's not the only thing?"
"Really? Tell me" She sat beside him on the bench, sarcasm evident in her voice, somehow he was getting to know more of Alison and well she was more devious than he thought.
"So she left me for more than two hours at the mall. I found out she tricked me, and I waited and waited..."
"And waited." She added, he wanted to teach her a lesson but hell he was roasted by her sharp tongue.
"I believed you did something to the woman, that warranted such treatment from her," Alison tone turned serious as she stood up and walked towards the far end of the pool.
Leonardo tried not to feed his eyes the sight of her luscious backside. Her womanly nature distracted him for a moment there.
Shaking his head from his thoughts, deciding that his payback was now or never he followed quickly behind.
Alison felt herself being lifted, and before she realized it. She was being carried by Leonardo, "What the hell are you doing?"
A grim smile drew on his face, struggling against him yielded nothing so leaned his face closer to her, "Alison you would be so red today after I am through with you," his voice came out dangerously low.
Yep, she crossed her boundary.
