The moment everyone finished throwing on whatever clothing they had managed to grab, Sophie and Theo slipped into the room through a door I had not even known existed. Jack immediately slammed the main door shut behind her, the sound echoing like a gunshot. It was almost enough to knock me off my feet again. My legs buckled as the command pressure finally eased, a cold aftershock rippling through my spine. Jack reached me first.
