Beryl's POV
As we neared the gate of my quarters, my heartbeat increased. What if he was still around? What would I say to him if I wasn't ready to tell him what it was I was up to? It could either demolish our plans or dissolve our Shadow Hunter group, and I didn't want that happening.
It just dawned on me that it was the only family I had here, and they kept me company, giving me a sense of purpose. I mean, apart from these Dark Hunter and Ultima fights, what would I be doing in my room each day?
