“That's because you wouldn't have let me do what I had to do,” I said sadly.
“You were wise enough to know that at least,” Alpha Aiden said and stood up.
He began pacing around the room, thinking.
“Come with me to see the Priestess soon.” I said, and he paused and turned to stare at me.
“The Priestess is in on this?” He asked in a surprised voice and I nodded my head in agreement, which got me a scoff from him. “Seriously!” He exclaimed and let out a short laugh.
“She was in on it from the start. She said she knew about it but was waiting for the right and chosen one to approach her and I reached out to her regarding the issue first before she opened up to me.” I told him as I watched his uneasy back.
