We were dancing to the music, shaking our bodies together, whilst laughing at our childish dance moves. It felt as if the time was frozen right then and there, and for all I knew, I wouldn't of minded if it did. I wanted to only live in this moment as it was pure euphoria filled with carefreeness, happiness, and joy.
Suddenly someone turned off the music. We smiled at each other and I kissed Edens nose before we turned to the person decided to ruin our little moment.
Lucy was looking at us, a smile on her lips and a huge grocery bag in her arms.
"So nice to see you again, Ruby," she winked at me.
"You too, Lucy. Let me help you with the bag," I walked over, grabbing her bag and putting it on the counter.
"Thanks, sweetie," she glared at Eden, who was grinning, "Ed, you better learn from your girlfriend."
"Mom! I am the best kid anyone could wish for," Eden put her hand on heart, pretending to be offended.
"Yeah, yeah, you've been causing me trouble ever since you got planted in my stomach," Lucy replied, bored with her, taking out the products from the bag.
"And there we go again..." Eden rolled her eyes, stealing pudding from the bag.
Lucy slapped her arm, taking the pudding from her: "go and buy your own pudding!"
"But mom!" Eden whined.
I was smiling at them, finding amusement in their bickering.
"Hey, Lu?" I asked before I could forget.
"Yes, dear?" she was still taking out the products.
"My parents would like to meet you if you don't mind?" I smiled, worried about her response.
She looked up, her brows furrowed and eyes squinted.
1.... 2.... 3....4....
"Sure, how about dinner tonight?" she offered.
"Dinner sounds great," I smiled.
Eden once again rolled her eyes: "if you're going to use me as a slave, like that one time your date came for a dinner, then you'll have to pay me."
She glared at Eden: "fine, 4 chocolate puddings."
"10," Eden glared back.
"6, that's my final offer."
"8 and I'll throw in a desert," Eden grinned, knowing she'll win it.
Lucy sighed: "deal."
"Eden, can you come upstairs with me? I need you to help me with this homework.." I laughed at their bickering, trying to sound as innocent as possible.
Lucy raised an eyebrow at me, smiling knowingly.
"What homework? It's holidays-" Eden started, but I grabbed her arm, dragging her with me.
As soon as we were in her room, I closed the door behind us, pushing her against it.
"Someone's in the mood," she smirked.
"Shut up," I said, kissing her hungrily, lifting her shirt and eventually removing it.
She stared at me, her eyes a darker shade. There it is, there's my girl, I smiled in victory. She moved her arms to my thighs, picking me up, carrying me to the bed, dropping me on it.
"The things you make me feel, Ruby," she said, crawling on top of me, lifting my shirt with her hand, leaving torturing kisses from my lower stomach up, eventually reaching my neck, making me shiver all over.
Right before she could kiss me, I flipped us around, kissing her jawline and reaching her chest, my arms automatically reaching around her to open her bra. She stopped my arm.
"Wait, babe," she smiled, shaking her head, "isn't this too quick?"
I shook my head, kissing her, nibbling on her lip. Biting it, I pulled on it softly.
She sighed: "f**k, Ruby."
My arm found its way to her pants, opening them.
"No, no, no, baby," she stopped my arm from going further, grabbing it.
I furrowed my brows, not knowing where this was coming from. She was very experienced when it came to girls, having slept with only God knows how many girls in the past. I was an incredibly confident girl, but this made me feel the most self-conscious little mice you could imagine.
Only now, looking down at her I realized she was the only one with pieces of clothing gone. Was I not good enough for her? Is she even attracted to me? Is there something wrong with my body, or maybe I wasn't even her type?
"Hey, hey," she raised my chin with her finger and looked in my eyes.
Guilty, she looked guilty. Only for a second, but it was soon replaced with sadness.
"Look, I want you more than anything, you're the most beautiful girl there is out there. It's just.." she tried to come up with a response.
"Just what?" I wanted to snap at her, but instead, it came out as a weak question. I couldn't help it, both genuinely hurt and confused.
"I.." she tried to come up with a response, looking anywhere but at me.
I took that as my cue to get up, ready to leave. She quickly ran from the bed and blocked my way to the door.
"Don't be like this, babe, it's too fast, okay? You matter to me, a lot and I want it to mean something more, for it to be more special," she said, desperation in her eyes.
I almost thought she was lying but the desperation in her eyes didn't give me any other chance than comply. She came closer, looking in my eyes, then looking at our hands, intertwining our fingers.
"Ru, do you trust me?" she asked, looking me back in the eyes. It didn't feel as much of a trust game than a threat to end it if I didn't. But again, that was the last thing I focused on.
I thought about it for a moment, even though it was obvious I did. I had given her every single part of me I could give.
"You know I do," I honestly replied.
How could I not, when she had become my everything?
"Then don't you ever, ever think you're anything less than everything to me," she said, her eyes burning with passion.
I tried to remember how to breathe, while her beautiful eyes squeezed my heart so bad it hurt. The way she looked at me, the way she made me feel, it was right between insanity and peace, death and living, pain and pure pleasure.
"I.. You... I have to.. we were.." I tried to put a sentence together, but my brain had turned into mush. Eden smiled knowingly as if she could relate to the way I felt.
She leaned in, giving me a kiss that started with just a peck, but I wanted more, I needed more, so I pulled her in. I kissed her lips, softly. More. I slipped my tongue in, tasting her, nibbling on her lips. A soft moan escaped her lips.
I smiled into the kiss, happy with the response her body gave me. My phone rang, but I chose to ignore it, putting my hands around her waist and pulling her closer. The phone rang again, this time Eden pulled away, a smile on her lips.
"It's probably your parents, you should pick it up, don't want to get you in trouble," she said.
I groaned, rolling my eyes.
"Yeah?" I asked, answering the call.
Ruby went in the bathroom, probably for a quick shower.
"So I've heard you spent the whole night out with your girlfriend, and you're still at her place. Is that right, princess?" my dad asked, amusement dripping from his voice.
"You got it, daddy," I smiled, "I talked with Lucy, Edens mom, and she offered a dinner tonight."
"That sounds great, princess. Are you staying there till then?" he asked, and I could imagine his smirk.
"Yes, I think so," I watched ruby come out of the bathroom, her short hair wet, shorts and v-neck on. She laid down on the bed, distracting me on a whole other level.
I coughed, clearing my throat, "I mean, we were up the whole night, and don't even think what you're thinking right now. We were at the beach. And I think sleeping is necessary before I can be in the same room as you and my girlfriend."
"Is my little girl scared?" He teased, laughing at me.
"More like embarrassed," I laughed, joking.
"Just text me when we need to come over, princess," he said, "love you, see you later."
"Love you too," I said, ending the call.
I walked to the bed, seeing clothes put down for me. Smiling, I took them and went to the bathroom for a quick shower. The sand from the beach was still very present. Once I finished, I put on the shorts and t-shirt Eden had prepared for me and went to bed. She was still asleep making me crawl next to her, putting my arms around her.
Her beauty was blinding, even up close. I traced her nose, cheekbones, jawline and finally lips with my finger, admiring her. She sighed peacefully in response, a corner of her mouth twitching up, probably having a good dream. I slid my arm back to her waist, finding it amazing, how well our bodies fit together.
Soon after, the sleep took over me.
They slept through the night,
minding their own business.
They slept through the night,
hoping it wouldn't finish
