Chapter Three

Davina's POV "I'm sorry, did you just say I should come home with you?" He nodded, that dark gaze fixed unnervingly on me. I spluttered, "You can't just… you're a complete stranger. Do you just go around asking people to… ridiculous questions?" "I have a first aid box in my car. However, I already sent my driver home and I'm not sure if I can drive with his hand. You wanted to help because I got hurt helping you, didn't you?" "Just a minute ago, you were insisting that you were fine." His lips held the barest hint of a smile, and Lord help me, it was sinfully beautiful. "I don't even know you." "Christian Stone, businessman." I rolled my eyes and gave in. "Fine, let me talk to my friend and we can leave. And my name's Davina by the way." "Nice to meet you, Davina. I'll be waiting here." After a lot of grilling by Stella, and making me promise to keep her updated every fifteen minutes, we finally left the club. I secretly took a picture of him to send to Davina and I could have sworn there was a smirk on his face. Hiding my awe, I got into Christian's exotic car and cleaned his wound. He entered his address into the GPS system, and off we went. We ended up in front of a tall building that seemed more like a skyscraper. The valet opened the door for me, and feeling foolish, I got out and walked around to the passenger side where Christian was already alighted. I handed the keys over to him, mumbling. "I'll be heading off now, but you should see a doctor for your hand." "Stay. Come up for coffee, I'll call my driver and he'll drive you home. It's too late for you to head home all by yourself." "Oh no, it's fine." "Please, Davina. I won't hurt you or try anything and you can text your friend my address if it'll make you feel better." "Um...okay." I followed him up to the penthouse, trying not to look like a bum as I stared in awe at the opulence around me. He has a housekeeper! The matronly-looking woman, Mary offered me a cup of hot chocolate and some pastries, that I couldn't say no to. Christian excused himself to go change while I chatted happily with the woman. "Bad news," He said as he walked back to the kitchen. "I can't reach my driver." Carried away by how stunning he looked in his sweats, I coughed when I finally registered what he said, "What?" "I still don't think you should get a cab. I have a spare room, you can spend the night instead." "Absolutely not, I'm leaving. I'll just call Stella." He shrugged. I avoided his gaze as I called Stella over and over again. The brat was not answering her calls. "I'll ask Mary to prepare the room for you before she leaves. Please, excuse me. I have some business calls to make." With that, he walked away leaving me staring after him with my jaw on the floor. Strangely, the emotion coursing through me, making my heart pound was not fear. *** A couple of hours later, Mary had left, leaving me with warm, beautiful clothes to sleep in. Christian never returned from his call, and I was tossing and turning in bed unable to sleep. I tiptoed out of the room and headed towards the kitchen. I went to the refrigerator and grabbed the first thing I saw. Pouring the wine into a mug, I went to the living area and relaxed on a soft couch. I was three mugs in when I heard footsteps. "Can't sleep?" I shrugged without turning to face him. "No, must be the strange bed." If I was sober, I would have been puzzled at how comfortable I felt around him despite everything that had happened that night. He sat on the couch opposite where I was seated and my gaze was inevitably drawn to his bare chest. My mouth watered at the muscular brown sight on display, and like someone possessed, I placed my mug down and walked over to him, straddling him. There was a faint flicker and surprise in his eyes and something else I was too tipsy to think about. "You're drunk, little Daisy." "No, I'm not." I hiccuped and smiled. "Okay, maybe a little." "If I was less of an asshole, I would send you off to bed right away." I placed my arms around his neck and slid closer. "Glad, you're not." His lips captured mine and the tension that had been brewing all night between us exploded. I couldn't get enough of him as he slid his lips down to my neck. My teeth dug into his bottom lip as he shoved his hands up my camisole and grazed his rough fingers over my n*****s, causing them to harden and peak to the point of pain. "So beautiful." He helped me get my top off and lavished attention on my breasts while his non-bandaged hand found the sweet spot between my legs. I was already soaked for him, my thighs slick with my juices as he drove me crazy with his mouth and fingers. His erection pressed against me, but when I reached for it, he batted my hand away. “I hope you’re not attached to your underwear,” he said. I gasped at the sound of fabric tearing I was throbbing now, so turned on I couldn’t see straight. Christian smiled while he shoved two fingers into my slippery folds. I gripped his hair, tugging so hard it must’ve hurt as he worked me into a frenzy, but if it did, he didn’t show it. He lifted his head from my chest and watched me with smoldering eyes. “That’s it,Daisy,” he murmured, his muscles taut as he finger f****d me harder. I rode his hand shamelessly, gasping his name. “Come for me my little Daisy.” I did. Hard, fast, and endlessly, screaming his name as I tumbled over the edge. He gave me a couple of minutes before lifting me up on his shoulder and stalking in his direction of his bedroom.
