RED’S POV
“…What’s that smell?”
The question caught me completely off guard.
I blinked at Carlton, confused by the strange look in his eyes.
“What?”
He took another slow step toward me, letting his sharp green eyes travel over my face before they slowly moved down the rest of my body.
Then he inhaled. All ever so slowly with a long drag and suddenly, his jaw hardened.
“You smell like another wolf.”
I frowned.
“Oh…” Is I could say because I didn’t know what he meant.
His eyes snapped back to mine.
“Oh?” He almost growled at me, his eyes starting to slowly change into small golden flakes.
“I met someone.”I said quickly, not ready to face that side of him.
