RED’S POV I quietly pulled the bedroom door open and peeked into the hallway. Silence. The broken double doors Carlton had ripped off their hinges earlier had already been cleared away, leaving only splintered wood scattered near the walls as if nothing had happened. Good. Maybe he had already left. I slipped out of the room, my heart hammering against my ribs with every cautious step I took down the endless hallway. Please don’t let me run into him. Please..
