RED POV. I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. I felt like I was inbetween a rock and a wall in this moment and I didn’t like it one bit. His stare hardened as he watched me closer before slowly opening his mouth. “You’ve disobeyed me, you lied to me earlier in Seattle and I forgave you.” “And today, you still went looking for a way out of here? Yet you’re only here because of mercy!” His voice dropped into something darker as his eyes thinned out with a different color filling his orbits. He didn’t look like Carlton.. he looked like something else, like an animal, one that was really out for me this time round. I pressed my back harder into the headboard, trying to create as much space between us because now, the room suddenly felt small, too small.
