Bella’s POV

I walk down the stairs to the main living room where everyone was waiting for Dom and me to come down. Something felt off and when I saw her face fear ran through me. Well well well, so this is where you ran off to my aunt Lauren said. Dom growled at her. I didn’t run off I left after I graduated high school. I spat back at her. Everyone is starring at the altercation. Dom clears his throat how about we all move into the conference room.

Are you ok Bella Dom asks me with a worried look on his face. Yes I’m fine I say and I try to put a smile on my face. But there is something you should know. I say with a shaky breath. My aunt and uncle promised the vampire king that I would be his sons beloved to create strong hybrid heirs. After he sought out magical help to strengthen his coven and protect his family. I look up at Dom and see his eyes are pitch black and I knew Ace had taken over. I start to tear up. Why don’t you go back upstairs baby girl. No one is taking my mate from me he says and kisses me on the top of my head.

I head into the kitchen first to grab a snack because these twins are always making me hungry. As soon and I grab the cheese out of the fridge I sense a presences behind me. I turn around to see Prince Christopher of the vampires. Well well, Iv been looking for you Princess. He said in a voice that was trying to be sexy but just made me want to vomit. Iv just been here with my mate happy as can be. I say in a snarky tone. He come up to me eyes flashing yellow. You were supposed to be my princess, those pups in your belly were supposed to be my heirs. Not some stupid mutts. He spits at me. Before he knew it his head was turned to the side and a sickening slap rang through the kitchen and my hand collided with his face. I never agreed to be yours that was my aunts doing. I belong to my Mate Alpha Dominic. I grab my cheese and crackers and walk to the kitchen exit. I collide with Dom’s chest. He growled at Christopher then pulled me into his filling his nose with my scent. You best learn your place when your in my land you ungrateful leach Dom states. This isn’t over Alpha. Mark my words Arabella will be mine as was promised to me. Christopher says and he uses his vampire speed to go into the conference room like nothing had happened. Dom mind links Jace to take over while he walked me back up to our room. Making sure I’m comfy in bed with my snack and the Netflix remote in hand.

I won’t see what was going on down there. I didn’t hear any fighting coming from down stairs. Wonder how Dom is handling the situation with Christopher. This is the thoughts I feel asleep to.
