7 Manuel’s Tavern Our departure was well timed: a Channel 2 Eyewitness News van was pulling into the complex even as we pulled out. Our first stop was Jessica’s place, so she could shower and change. Her roommate kept saying “Oh my God” like a valley girl, so I decided to wait outside with a cigarette. While I waited, I tried to make sense of all the c*****e.
