Chapter three

Enemies you say, but enemies unite when they find out they have a common enemy.

Hunters were definitely something that the council and past ambassadors knew of and though Cecil and her family seemed as harmless as possible they were definitely being watched.

I guess the most powerful families as not as innocent as they seem. The Draco's and Stones definitely had a few skeletons in their cupboard.

Power was definitely something worth fighting for and both families knew this and they were not going to let the hunters and their nosy little daughter get in their way of what they what, and the only way to seal off an agreement like that was that of unionism.

The unsuspecting teenagers went on with their daily business as usual but the ritual was definitely something the families to bend to their own will and biddings.

The thing about manipulating processes is that, someone might just end up ruining the whole plan and situation.

And in this case it just turns out that Cecil is a hard nut to crack, Cecil was at the center of every predicament in the school and that didn't go unnoticed.

But a cunning snake definitely has it ways of warming its way into its prey's arms. Dimitri was the unsuspecting prey this time around and Cecil wasn't going to take no for an answer.

Warming into Elinor's heart was easy but Dimitri has been so tough for months that quitting almost became an option.

But poor little Dimitri had a weakness and that was the fact that he never saw himself as someone that should fail at anything.

The cross country race was a nice way for Cecil to get her way into Dimitri's head but getting into Dimitri's head got a little bit too far this time around.

Cecil had a plan to get Dimitri to fail in the race, a few children's tricks which eventually got to Dimitri and the unexpected and unbelievable happened.

The defending champion and school's bragging right was no where to be found.

Failing hits people differently and Dimitri is not one to fail, this was a perfect time for Cecil to get close to Dimitri; get close you say, but Cecil's plans back fired as Dimitri's pain was one that needed way more attention than just petty talks and a bunch of bottles to smash.

This kind of sadness needed some sort of inner peace that only Elinor could offer Dimitri.

But Cecil wasn't going to let this opportunity be another walk by, taking the bull by the horn you say, Cecil was willing to do whatever it took for her to get close to Dimitri and still have Elinor at the snap of a finger.

This lead to a situation that they both wished never happened has they were found hours later in the schools antic and like no other person could find them, the finder just happened to be the ambassador's daughter herself.

June 25th a day of fashion, action, beauty, clarification love and s****l satisfaction was something of the conjugal ceremony.

But some parties were going to be heart broken at the end of the night, especially after finding out that your proposed mate has actually been s****l with your proposed best friend. I guess the rich also cries.

The conjugal ball was one party that Elinor was not interested in attending even if she had dreamt of it her entire life.

After the situation ship and after finding out that she has been com pressing her feelings for Dimitri for so long.

She retired to her room and thought about the different possibilities and things that could have happened if she actually made a move on Dimitri, but a royalty like herself is not expected to make advances to young men ;she thought.

She was not in the mood to talk to anyone, and Dimitri and Cecil were on top of the list of the people she didn't want to talk to for the longest time, but those were the exact people at her window wanting to talk to.

She was deep in her thoughts when she realized the shadow they were casting into her room. Elinor was a woman of her words and she was not going to change her words for anyone, not even the two people she considered closest to her.

Heads turned as Elinor stepped into the room, this was something she definitely did for fun, and as the president of the fashion club, the queen bee had to appear in her best.

The ceremony was expected to be long and memorable as new alliances would be formed, new bonds shared, and some likely relationships broken, a night of truth.

The beings that were of age in the separate realms were expected to assemble and take turns in determining their elements; air, water and fire. This would just narrow down the spouses on their list and this was a ceremony for royals only, so time is of the essence and not having an element was not an option cause the convent is not a place where young bright minds should end up.

The Draco's and Stones agreed on paying off a fire lord to just make sure that their wards both ended up in the room of fire, just a step closer to been one of the most powerful unions in the history of the realms.

But hopefully all goes as plan has Dimitri and Elinor were both young adults that would not be bossed around by any one.

The event of the night was in full swing as the parties involved started discovering their elements, it would be the first time in two centuries that someone hasn't gotten an element, if it happens.

The line felt endless for Elinor as Dimitri kept breathing on her neck and asking her questions about what she told and haven't told anybody.

All Elinor wanted was for the process to be over and get on to the next part of the ceremony. Given the history between herself and the crowd, she had to put on a smile just to please her parents and the media team.

The plan of hiring a fire lord to do their dirty works was worth as he was able to subside the possible elements they would have ended up with, or who knows, maybe they would have ended up with fire any ways.

Well the games between the queen and pawns are never fair because the queen always comes out on top.

Would new alliances be formed or broken?

Will Dimitri and Elinor end up in the same room anyway?

Would they have gotten any element at all?

Is Elinor in love with Dimitri or she is just jealous that Dimitri has someone else he could talk to?
