Chapter 3

Damien

I don't know what happened, she just blacked out and I can't seem to wake her. I mind linked the pack doctor to get here now. As he was coming in, I noticed something about Laney. Her pale skin started to show some color along with her faded blonde hair. "What is going on, what does this mean doctor, look." I point towards Laney, "her skin and hair are starting to show color," "What happened, have you two completed the mating?" "Yes doctor we have and when I licked her mark to heal she blacked out." "That is intersting and very exciting and I believe Alpha Michael should know." "Know what?" I asked confused.

"Laney is in transition and will be one with her wolf any time now."

"Are you sure her dormant wolf is now awakened?" I couldn't believe this, I knew that there was something special about my mate.

"When you marked her, it woke her wolf, she is in the middle of meeting her wolf and she will slowly shift. You need to be there for her and make sure that she is comfortable, especially since for the longest time she thought she would never have one." "I will be with her through all of it. I told the doctor.

Laney stirred and then there was a moan, her eyes suddenly opened and she looked scared and surprised that the doctor was there.

"Hey love, please don't be startled. I asked Doc to stop by because I was afraid you wouldn't wake up. You blacked out after I marked you and it's been over 5 hours." I kissed her and asked Doc to leave, and I told him that I would make sure she stops by the infirmary when she is able.

Laney

I woke up from my dream and saw that the doctor and Damien were staring at me in shock. Feeling scared and shaky, I didn't understand till I sat up and noticed my hands, I had claws. "Oh my gosh" do I have a wolf?" Damien asked the Doc to leave and then it was just the two of us.'Our mate is handsome,' 'who was that, I looked at Damien and he smiled and said "Say hi to your wolf." I was shocked that it could be true. 'Hello, what is your name?' 'my name is Nia, I am your wolf and your best friend.' I started crying, I have a wolf, I can't believe she is finally here after all this time. Damien held me so tight that I just sobbed for a while, letting it all out.

After what felt like hours, I sat back from Damien and my stomach started growling, he smirked "are you hungry?" "A little, what time is it?" "It is 5 in the evening, you have been out for 5 hours." That surprised me, I can't believe it. 'Our mate is so generous.' 'He is the best, I hope I can make him proud.' 'you mean you hope we can make him proud.' I smiled at myself. It feels so good to not feel alone anymore. I have someone that I know will be there and give me back the confidence that I once had before my 16th birthday.

Damien stared at me and held out his hand for me to grab. Feeling the sparks and tingles made me smile and feel so at home.

We went out of the bedroom and into the kitchen dining room. It was the cutest set up, with a sink below a window facing the woods, a modern stove next to a wood fire oven, a modern fridge with window doors, a dishwasher, cabinets are amazing, and a small island/bar facing towards the dining room with a rectangle table that seats 10.

The colours are so warming and vintage. I love this kitchen. I can see myself baking and cooking for a large family in this kitchen. Damien opens the freezer and pulls out a frozen cheese pizza. I couldn't help but laugh at him. I noticed that there was a fridge full of junk food and freezer as well. "You don't cook do you?" I asked Damien, "no I don't", he smiled and said. But you do and I have our whole lives to eat your cooking. I don't have anything in the house right now, but tomorrow you can make a list and I can have an omega go to the store." He says while turning on the oven and getting the pizza ready to go in. "I think that it would be easier for me to go instead. I will be okay." Damien stared at me and I saw protectiveness in his eyes, "No," That was a stern no.'He wants to keep us safe" said Nia. 'I understand that but I have you and I can take a warrior with me.' I told Nia and then realized maybe I should let Damien know that.'DUH' 'Please stop doing that, I am still new to all this.' "Damien I will take a gaurd with me and an Omega, I won't go alone if it will make you feel better." Damien looks at me and then compromises "You can go if there are 3 guards and an Omega with you."

"Deal, thank you Damien." I go up to him and wrap my arms around him for a hug, but he has something else in mind and he takes over my lips and moves down to my mark and just starts to suck on it and a moan escapes my lips. I pushed him back a little and said "Lets eat first, then we can continue what you are thinking."

"Okay, I will hold you to that." Damien finally lets go and we sit and eat in silence.

When Laney told me she wanted to be the one to go to the store, I freaked out, wanting to keep her close to me and keep her safe. Maybe having guards with her will ease my mind. I also want to make sure that she takes a phone and have the guards keep me updated with everything. She went from a slave Omega to a future all in one day and she is new to her wolf and hasn't fully shifted yet. I can't wait to see that. I know that she will be the kindest, strong and passionate Luna that we have ever had.
