Chapter 5 : Don't Look at Me

Luckily Issac happened to be passing by in front of Caroline's room when he was going to visit Anthony’s room to talk about his desire to bring Adeline to his pack.

However, he instead finds Adeline unconscious in Caroline's room. Actually Issac was angry at Caroline for making Adeline like that, but he was trying his best not to hurt her.

Because he didn't know where Adeline's room was, Issac took the girl to a guest house not too far from the pack's house.

Many people looked at him strangely, as he carried the unconscious Adeline. However, Issac ignored him and quickened his pace towards the guest house.

Steven, whose intention was to leave the guest house, was surprised when he saw Issac carrying someone. "Oh no! Have you killed someone, dude?" Steven asked excitedly at his friend.

"I don't have time to joke with you, help me to check on this girl," Issac answered seriously and ignored Steven's jokes at him.

Steven just shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and turned to follow Issac from behind, not forgetting to call the doctor he had brought in his entourage.

Issac brought Adeline into his room, the man immediately put Adeline's body on his bed very carefully, his heart was very sliced when he saw the pale face of the girl he loved.

"Have you called the doctor?" Isaac asked Steven who was next to him.

"Yeah, he'll be here in a minute." Steven sighed softly when he saw who Issac was carrying, it was only natural that the man looked so serious that something had happened to his mate.

"What happened to her?" Steven was curious about what had happened to his best friend's girl, considering that the girl had often been the victim of crimes by her own pack members.

“I don't know, when I arrived she was already lying on the floor." Issac tried to calm himself not to go berserk and destroy the Moon Blast pack.

Horrified to see his best friend, Steven lightly tapped Issac's shoulder, signaling him to be patient and not to act rashly.

Soon a doctor came into Issac's room. "What did you call me, Alpha?" said the doctor to Steven.

“Please check this girl.” Steven immediately ordered the doctor to check Adeline's condition.

Without saying much, the doctor immediately did what Steven had ordered him to do. Cautiously, the doctor began to examine the condition of Adeline, who was currently unconscious.

After waiting for a while, the doctor said, “This lady is experiencing extreme exhaustion and her stomach is also empty. I hope you will let her rest for a while and give her enough food when she wakes up.”

“Then, when will she come to her senses?" asked Issac worried about Adeline's current condition because the girl didn't wake up.

“I've given her medicine, she will soon be conscious," continued the doctor explained Adeline's condition to Issac.

After that the doctor said goodbye and left only Issac and Steven there.

“What are you going to do after seeing this?” Steven asked knowing that it was likely that Isaac's mind had changed by now.

We can heard a sigh from Issac, "I think I will ask Adeline first, if she agrees to go with me, then I will not ask permission from Anthony," said Issac, having made his choice.

"Yeah, it's better that way. Then I'll leave you two, just tell the others, if you need anything." Steven walked away leaving Issac who seemed to need some time alone to think.

Issac sat on the edge of his bed and reached for Adeline's hand to hold it. Issac could feel Adeline's hands were not as cold as before.

He couldn't imagine what those people had done to Adeline, to make this girl unconscious like this. From what the doctor had said, Issac could conclude that Adeline was not being fed properly.

Realizing this made Issac sigh again. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you," the man muttered guiltily.

In her room, Caroline paced back and forth in her room, not happy to see that a handsome man had come to help Adeline earlier.

"Gosh! What did that damn girl do to get the attention of the people from the Blood Moon pack. I can't let this happen, Father needs to know what that stupid girl is doing!” Caroline walked away from her room and walked to her father's study on the third floor of their pack house.

In her stride, Caroline smirked, her father couldn't stand it as she reported what Adeline had done. Just a little incitement could make her father furious and immediately punish the poor Adeline.

"See how you will got this time, my dear sister!" mumbled Caroline with a sly smile.

This time Caroline will make sure Adeline will get the punishment she deserves for daring to spread charm to their guests.

Issac did not move from his room, the man waited until Adeline woke up from her unconscious state. Isaac waited a long time, until Adeline finally woke up.

"Thank God, you're awake," said Issac when he saw Adeline slowly open her eyes.

Adeline who just realized doesn't know what happened to her, she blinked a few times to make her eyes focus again.

How surprised Adeline was when she saw Issac there, the girl's reflex backed away, but stopped when she again felt a pain in her stomach.

Seeing Adeline grunting in pain, Issac became worried, “Don't move yet, you're still sick. Drink first, I'll get some food for you," said Issac at length to Adeline and hurried out of the room to get Adeline to eat.

Before Issac had time to move, Adeline held the man's arm, "No need, I'm fine," said Adeline, smiling weakly.

Issac froze in place when he heard Adeline's words. He sat back down and looked straight at Adeline, "How could you fine, you're sick, I know your stomach hurts," replied Issac, unable to understand how Adeline could say that she was okay.

Adeline just smiled in response to Issac's words to her, "Thanks for helping me, but I was serious when I said I'm fine."

Issac lowered his head, restraining himself from yelling at Adeline. “Okay, if that's what you say. Tell me, what happened earlier that make you passed out like this."

“Just some tiredness," Adeline replied curtly.

"Has this happened to you often?" asked Isaac again.

Adeline was silent when Isaac asked about it.

"I have something that I want to tell you." Finally Issac tried to say what was on his mind at the moment.

"What's that?"

“Would you like to leave this place and go away with me?" Although deep inside Issac was afraid to ask this, but he had to ask Adeline this because he wanted to respect Adeline's decision later.

Adeline was surprised when she heard what Issac said, just as he was about to answer the question, suddenly a loud noise came from outside which made them confused.

“What's really going on outside? Why are they so noisy!” Issac couldn't deny the fact that he was bothered by the noise.

Until finally, someone from outside kicked the door of Isaac's room and made a loud noise.
