The next morning, still inspired by the movie, Gabriel decided he wanted to teach Henry how to fly a kite, as he insisted that his son experience all kinds of games and not just video games and computers. After breakfast, he went to town to buy what was needed: colored kite paper, bamboo, glue, scissors, and kite string. After buying everything except the bamboo, which they had on the farm, he returned and called Henry and Laura to start making them while Sage went to fetch the bamboo.
Gabriel was surprised to see that, despite her delicacy, Hanna knew how to make a kite and watched her make a pink and lilac kite.
