Chapter 10: A Turning Point Ava couldn't shake off the feeling that she was at a turning point in her life. She had feelings for Liam, but she was engaged to Julian. She didn't know what to do, or which path to take. As she walked home, Ava felt a sense of uncertainty and doubt. She had always thought that she was doing the right thing by marrying Julian, but now she wasn't so sure. She had been so caught up in the idea of getting married and starting a new life that she hadn't stopped to think about what she really wanted. When she arrived home, Ava found Julian waiting for her in the living room. He looked up as she walked in, and Ava could sense a hint of tension in the air. "Hey," Julian said, his voice neutral. "How was your night?" Ava hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. "It was fine," she said finally. "I went to Liam's show and it was really great." Julian's expression changed, and Ava could sense a hint of jealousy in his eyes. "Oh, yeah?" he said. "And how was Liam?" Ava shrugged, trying to play it cool. "He was great. He's really talented." Julian nodded, his expression unreadable. "I'm glad you had a good time," he said. "But Ava, we need to talk." Ava felt a sense of trepidation as Julian stood up and walked over to her. "What's going on?" she asked, trying to sound calm. Julian took a deep breath before speaking. "Ava, I know that you've been having doubts about our relationship. And I know that you've been spending time with Liam." Ava felt a sense of surprise and guilt. How did Julian know? She had been so careful to keep her feelings hidden, but apparently, she hadn't been careful enough. "I...I don't know what you're talking about," Ava stammered, trying to deny it. But Julian just shook his head. "Ava, don't lie to me. I know that you've been feeling uncertain about our relationship, and I know that you've been drawn to Liam. I've seen the way you look at him, and I've seen the way he looks at you." Ava felt a sense of shock and embarrassment. She had been so careful to keep her feelings hidden, but apparently, she hadn't been careful enough. "I...I don't know what to say," Ava stammered, feeling like she was caught in a trap. Julian took a deep breath before speaking. "Ava, I want you to know that I love you. And I want to make this work. But I need you to be honest with me. Are you still in love with Liam?" Ava felt a sense of panic and uncertainty. She didn't know how to respond, or what to say. She knew that she had feelings for Liam, but she also knew that she was engaged to Julian. As she stood there, frozen in uncertainty, Ava knew that she had to make a choice. She had to decide which path to take, and which man to choose. But as she looked into Julian's eyes, Ava knew that she couldn't make a decision right now. She needed time to think, and time to figure out what she really wanted. "I...I don't know," Ava stammered, feeling like she was caught in a trap. "I need some time to think, Julian. Can we talk about this later?" Julian nodded, his expression unreadable. "Okay, Ava. We can talk about it later. But I need you to know that I'm not going to wait around forever. If you're not committed to our relationship, then maybe we shouldn't be together." Ava felt a sense of shock and fear. She knew that Julian was serious, and she knew that she had to make a decision soon. As she stood there, frozen in uncertainty, Ava knew that she had to take some time to think. She had to figure out what she really wanted, and which path to take. But as she looked into Julian's eyes, Ava knew that she couldn't make a decision right now. She needed time, and she needed space. "I'll talk to you later, Julian," Ava said finally, feeling like she was caught in a trap. "I need some time to think." Julian nodded, his expression unreadable. "Okay, Ava. Take all the time you need. But don't forget, I'm not going to wait around forever."
