III Ordo Lendiniensae ‘The Council of Lindinis’ The moon was bright and near to full over the hillfort that night, the rain clouds coming off of the sea in the distance taking their time, holding back. They had to, for the Gods would not tolerate a downpour just yet. The peace was too blissful, there in the silver light, glistening as it was upon the dewy grass. The darkness did its best to conceal the place, the edges of the high fortifications hidden from one side to the other. Larks called out in the darkness, their song running down the slopes to the fields below where sheep and cattle dozed in the dark, an occasional lowing only to be heard to cover the footfalls of foxes.
